九年级单元范文背诵
Unit 1 The ways of learning
Dear Li Hua,
I’m sorry to hear that you failed in the English test. Don’t worry. Here is my advice on how to learn English.
First, the best way to learn a language is to use it. Why don’t you have conversations with your friends in English more often and read more English books You say you are poor at listening. I think you should try to improve your listening skills by watching English videos that you are interested in. It can help a lot. As for English grammar, it’s necessary to do more exercise and take notes. Then you’d better review them from time to time when you’re free.
In a word, if you put your heart into English, you’ll be a good English learner. Don’t give up!
Yours,
Li Hua
Unit 2 Introducing a Chinese festival
As we all know, there are many traditional festivals in China. Among them, I like the Mid-Autumn festival best
It falls on the August 15th in the Chinese lunar calendar. The moon is a symbol of reunion(团圆). So it’s a time for families to get together and have a big dinner. After dinner, we admire the full moon while eating mooncakes. The mooncakes are in the shape of a full moon and have different kinds of tastes. They carry people’s wishes to the families they love and miss. Sometimes my grandfather tells the story of the moon goddess Chang’e to me.
What a great festival it is!

Unit4 Personal changes
Dear Elsa,
How time flies! Three years has passed quickly. And I do have changed a lot!
I used to be short, but now I’m one of the tallest students in my class. I used to be so shy that I was afraid of talking with others. Luckily,my classmates encouraged me and made friends with me, so I’m more outgoing now.As for my study, I was poor at math in the past . But with my math teacher’s help, I have made great progress.
The most important change in my life was becoming interested in reading. Last summer my best friend gave me an interesting book to read. I enjoyed it so much that I couldn’t put it down. After that, I began to read other books. Reading gives me a lot of knowledge and makes me very happy. As a famous saying goes, “Reading makes a full man”.
Yours,
Max

Unit6 introducing favorite invention
Dear Frank,
Great inventions have greatly changed the world. Among all the inventions, I like the mobile/ smart phones best, which were invented in the 2000’s.
For one thing, the mobile phones have changed the way of communication. They shorten the distance(距离) between people. And we can keep in touch with others anytime anywhere. For another, we can do many other things with mobile phones, such as listening to music, watching movies, taking photos, shopping and so on. We even don’t need to bring money when going out because we can pay with the phones. With the help of them, our life is becoming more and more interesting and convenient.
These are the reasons why I like the mobile phones best. What’s your favorite invention Look forward to your reply!
Yours,
Li Ping
Unit7 Talking about school rules
Dear Lucy,
I’m sorry to hear that you are unhappy these days because of the strict rules in your new school.
In fact, I also have quite a few strict rules to follow in my school. For example, we students must wear school uniforms on school days. And we can’t be late for class. What’s more, we are not allowed to eat food, make noise or listen to music in class. Boys are not allowed to have long hair while girls can’t have their ears pierced. Besides, if we take mobiles phones to school, we’ll be punished.
In my opinion, Although most of the rules are strict, they are made to help us become better. So we’d better follow them. Don’t worry. You will get used to them and be happy soon.
Yours,
Li Ping
Unit8 Making inferences
There is a blue coat on the playground. We don’t know whose coat this is. So we begin to guess who it belongs to. Here are the different opinions people have.
Carla says it can’t be Mike’s, because it is too small for Mike to wear. It doesn’t fit him. Mary thinks Tom likes blue, so it might belong to him. However, John believes it must be Fred’s because he is playing football with his friends on the playground. But I don’t agree. I saw Andy wear a blue coat yesterday. So I believe it must belong to Andy.
Whose coat is this What’s your opinion
Unit9 Introducing favorite song
Dear Jack.
Glad to hear from you.I think music is the most beautiful language in the world, so I enjoy listening to music as you.
I am a country music lover because it makes me feel relaxed and happy. My favorite song is Take Me Home, Country Roads which is sung by John Denver. He is a famous American country music singer who can write his own songs. Here are the reasons why I like the song best. For one thing, it has beautiful lyrics and I can sing along with it easily. For another, it always reminds me of the happy time that I spent in the countryside with my grandparents.
When you are free, you can listen to it. I’m sure you will fall in love with it.
Yours,
Li Ping
Unit10 Introducing customs in China
I’m so happy that you will visit China. Here are some customs you need to know if you’re invited by a Chinese family.
First, you should arrive a little earlier. Being late is impolite in China. Second, It’s also impolite to show up with your hands empty. So it’s a good idea to bring some small gifts such as some flowers or fruit. What’s more, you’d better pay attention to the table manners. Remember not to stick your chopsticks into your food. And You aren’t supposed to point at anyone with your chopsticks as well. Finally, after dinner, showing thanks is also necessary.
I hope these suggestions can be useful to you. And I’m sure you’ll enjoy yourselves in China.
Unit11 Introducing your difficulties
Everyone meets difficulties on the way to success. I got a big one three years ago. I had trouble with my spoken English.
My pronunciation was poor which made me nervous to speak in front of others. Because I was always worried about making mistakes. After noticing that, my English teacher Miss.Hu advised me to watch English videos and repeat after them every day. I followed her suggestions and my pronunciation improved a lot. I even gave a short speech in front of my classmates with her encouragement and help!
After that, I became more confident and I realized that overcoming difficulties helped me grow up. And now, I’m willing to face something difficult bravely whenever I meet it. Thanks for listening.
Unit12 Introducing an unforgettable experience
Monday,27th November,2017 sunny
Today is a really unlucky day for me. I stayed up late to watch a football game last night. When I woke up this morning, it had already been 7:30 a.m.I overslept!I didn’t have breakfast and rushed to the bus stop. Unluckily, by the time I got to the stop, the bus had left.As a result, I was late for school. What was worse, I was so sleepy that I couldn’t pay attention in class. My English teacher asked me a question but I even didn’t know what she was asking me.It made me feel embarrassed. She was so angry that she asked me to copy the text for three times!
What a bad day I had today!I’ll never stay up late again.
Unit13 Introducing ways to protect environment
Dear Lucy,
I’m glad that you can pay attention to environmental protection. Actually, protecting the environment begins with small things.
For example, we can save electricity by turning off the lights or computers when we don’t use them. It’s a good way to save the energy. We should also recycle the waste water, paper and other waste so that we can reuse them. What's more, it is suggested to use public transportation more instead of private cars.
All these small things can add up and become big things that could improve the environment. Hope all these can help you.
Yours,
Li Hua
