《普通高中英语课程标准》指出，普通高中英语课程强调对学生语言能力、文化意识、思 维品质和学习能力的综合培养， “以口头或书面形式传递信息、论证观点、表达情感” ，“实 践英语学习活动观，着力提高学生学用能力”，促进核心素养的有效形成。
本课时内容为Speaking,属于表达性技能。理解性技能和表达性技能在语言学习过程中相辅 相成、相互促进。因此，在本课时的教学设计中，为了更好地提升学生“说”的能力，我将理 解性技能和表达性技能相结合，帮助学生在接近真实的情境中制定一个最恰当的“budget plan”。
本课首先由教师引导学生思考制定budget plan需要考虑的诸多因素，然后根据具体的情境 设计不同的活动，通过个体活动和团队活动相结合，在学习和运用语言的同时，解决和经济学 相关的实际问题。
