学生情况分析: 本节课授课对象为八年级上学期的学生,他们经过七年级一学年的初中英语学习,积累了一定的词汇量。对于本单元future intentions这一主题,学生有一定的生活认知和基本语言知识储备,能使用简单的句型描述对未来的期许,如What do you want to be when you grow up I want to be an engineer.I’m going to study math really hard.但是学生还没有形成在特定情境中,对future intentions进行成段、成篇描述的能力。通过本节课的学习,旨在让学生从简单的句子过渡到成段语句的语言描述,同时能归纳what is a resolution,the kinds of resolutions等,教育学生在许下诺言、下定决心之后要竭尽全力、永不放弃、坚持梦想。
教学目标: 1、语言能力:掌握生词和常用的词语搭配,如本节课所学语篇中出现的be able to,at the beginning of,write down,have to do with,take up;能辨识一般将来时态的句式和结构特征,并运用be going to的句式来表述自己的新年决心;能读懂本节课所学语篇,整体理解每个自然段的主要内容;在口语和书面表达中,能选用不同句式结构和时态,进行描述和介绍,表达情感、态度和观点。 2、文化意识:能通过语篇获取、归纳文化信息,尊重多样性和差异性,并在理解的基础上作出自己的判断;能领会语篇蕴含的人文精神,形成正确的价值观和积极向上的情感态度,有自信自强的良好品格,做到内化于心、外化于行,坚持梦想并为之不懈奋斗。 3、思维品质:能辨识语篇信息之间的相关性,判断句子之间的逻辑关系;能提取、整理概况语篇的关键信息,主要内容、思想和观点,判断各种信息的异同和关联;能多角度、辩证地看待事物,具有批判性思维;能从不同角度解读语篇,推断语篇的深层含义,作出正确的价值判断。 4、学习能力:对英语学习有持续的兴趣和较为明确的学习需求与目标;有积极主动的学习态度;能主动反思自己英语学习中的进步与不足;能在学习活动中积极与他人合作,共同完成学习任务。
教学重难点: 1、能辨识一般将来时态的句式和结构特征,并运用be going to的句式来表述自己的新年决心。 2、能提取、整理概况语篇的关键信息,主要内容、思想和观点,判断各种信息的异同和关联。 3、能领会语篇蕴含的人文精神,形成正确的价值观和积极向上的情感态度,有自信自强的良好品格,做到内化于心、外化于行,坚持梦想并为之不懈奋斗。
教学过程: Step1. Pre-reading Presenting Objectives ① Greeting:Good morning,boys and girls.Everyone has wishes,hopes,plans and promises,even little children. ② Show students a video about new year’s resolutions. 【设计意图】呈现本节课的关键词: resolution,引发学生思考,营造轻松愉悦的课堂氛围。 【效果评价】观察学生观看视频时的表情,了解其对教学内容的兴趣程度。 2、Warming up ① Ask students to write down their resolutions:A wish,a hope,a plan and a promise we make to ourselves called“resolution”These children’s resolutions are about study,health and so on.Would you like to write your own resolutions on this paper? ② Put students’ resolutions into this wishing well box. 【设计意图】阐释“resolution”一词的含义,为稍后的阅读做铺垫。学生写下自己的resolution,并将纸条放入“许愿箱”中,为稍后的教学做素材准备,激发学生的学习兴趣。 【效果评价】观察学生是否受到视频启发,使用一般将来时准确表述自己的新年决心。 Vocabulary building ① Listen to the tape (vocabularies of page 45) ,students read after it. ② Ask one student to read new vocabularies,other students follow him/her. ③ Students read all the new vocabularies by themselves. 【设计意图】扫清学生阅读障碍。使用教材配套音频进行单词教学,给予学生正确的语音示范。学生带读、自己朗读,进一步加深印象。 【效果评价】观察学生读单词时的表现,了解其对新词汇的初步掌握情况。 Step2. While-reading Reading for structure Task 1:Match each paragraph with its main purpose.(2min) Para. 1 To question(质疑) the idea of making resolutions. Para. 2 To give the meaning of resolution. Task 2 : Group work:Put the sentences [A-D] in the correct places. 【设计意图】通过小组讨论,学生发现语篇中句与句内容之间的关系,初步整体感知文章内容。 【效果评价】观察学生的讨论情况和回答问题的表现,了解其是否能识别和判断语篇中上下文之间的关系,是否领会阅读技巧和策略:The sentences before and after the blanks may help you! 并根据学生的回答情况,提供必要的帮助。 Reading for knowledge& information Task 3 : Listen to Para.1 and answer the questions. ① What is a resolution ② When do people usually make resolutions ③ Why do people make resolutions ④ How can people remember their resolutions 【设计意图】引导学生在听录音和看文字的过程中理解语篇内容,提取、梳理、归纳所需信息。 【效果评价】观察学生回答问题的表现,根据其说出的具体内容,了解其对第一自然段内容的理解情况。 Task 4 : Read Para.2 aloud and find out the kinds of resolutions. ① ___________:start _______________ eat ________________ ② ___________:take up _____________ ③ ___________:make_______________ 【设计意图】引导学生在大声朗读的过程中理解语篇内容,提取、梳理、归纳、分析并整合关键信息。 【效果评价】观察学生梳理的决心种类是否正确,举例是否得当,了解其对第二自然段内容的理解情况。 Task 5 : Classify your own resolutions. 【设计意图】揭晓部分学生的新年决心,结合学生的实际情况,进一步明确和理解决心的三个种类。 【效果评价】根据学生念出的新年决心了解决心的主人是否正确使用了一般将来时,根据学生的分类了解其对决心三个种类的理解情况。 Task 6 : Read Para.3 and complete the mind map. 【设计意图】学生阅读并梳理本段结构,识别和判断句子间的逻辑关系,比较人们观点间的相似性和差异性,启发学生思考。 【效果评价】观察学生梳理的内容结构是否准确,逻辑是否关联,要点是否齐全。 Step3. Post-reading ① Debate:Is the best resolution to have no resolutions?Why or why not 正方:I agree, because... 反方:I don't agree, because... 【设计意图】培养学生的批判性思维,启发学生运用所学语言,得体表达自己的态度和观点。 【效果评价】观察学生能否使用正确的语法、词汇、句型和表达,清晰、准确表达自己的情态度和观点。根据学生表现,提供必要帮助。 ② Show a video about“How can we keep our resolutions”. 【设计意图】进一步启发学生思考,反思自己。 【效果评价】观察学生观看视频时的表情,确定其对keep resolutions有新的认知和感悟。 ③ Summary: We should try our best! What resolutions do you make Why do you choose them How are you going to keep them 【设计意图】学生通过小组合作,构思、制作独一无二的海报,为笔头输出做准备。 【效果评价】观察团队合作时学生的表现,确定每一个小组成员都发挥其主观能动性,积极参与海报制作。 ⑤ Display and evaluation. 【设计意图】充分发挥学生的主体作用,以小组为单位进行海报的制作和展示,汇报者介绍海报内容和设计思路,各组以上表作为评价标准开展相互评价。 【效果评价】观察上台学生的表现,把握学生对重点语言表达的学习和内化情况。教师从发展的视角、以发展的眼光、用发展的观点进行口头评价。 Step4.
