The Water festival is held in mid-April to celebrate(庆祝) the traditional Thai New Year. Chiang Mai has become one of the most popular locations to visit during this festival.
Clara is going to Chiang Mai.
Ben feels very curious about the Water Festival in Thailand.

3.宾语从句的时态
1.当主句是一般现在的时候,宾语从句根据句子的需要可以使用任何时态。
1) He will go to Hong Kong .
2) He is sick.
3) He is reading a book .

2.当主句是一般过去时的时候,宾语从句必须运用相应的过去的某一种时态,从而达到主句和从句的相互一致。(呼应性原则)

3.当宾语从句说明的是客观存在的事实或者是客观存在的真理时,就不用受到主句时态的限制,仍是用一般现在时态。(特殊性原则)

5.注意否定转移
一般而言,宾语从句的否定式与一般句子的否定式是一样的。但若主句是I/ We think/ suppose/ guess/ believe等时,从句中的否定习惯上要转移到主句中。
E.g. I think it’s going to rain. (肯)
I don’t think it’s going to rain. (否)
We believe that she will lend you the money. (肯)
We don’t believe that she will lend you the money.(否)
