一、副词的比较级和最高级的构成规则
1.单音节副词的比较级和最高级后面直接加er/ est,辅音字母加y的变y为i加er/ est.
hard→hardarder→hardest fast→fastester→fastest a early → searlier → earliest
2.多音节副词的比较级和最高级前面直接加morel most。
carefully→ camore carefully→mostlly
quickly→more quickly→most quickly
happily→more happily→most happily
strongly→more strongly-most strongly
3.方式副词的不规则变化的比较级和最高级。
far→farther→farthest 侧重实际距离上的远
far→further→furthest 抽象意义上的深入
far的这两种形式可以互换,不同地域和不同历史背景的人的使用偏好会有所不同。
小贴士:副词的最高级前面可以加the,也可以不加the.

二、形容词和副词比较级的其他修饰词
1.形容词比较级前可以加much, even, far, a lot, still, a little, a bit这些程度副词来修饰,
表示“·…的多”,“甚至……",“更……”,"……一些” ;加强语气.这些也同样适用于副词的比较级.
Her hat is much more beautiful than yours. 她的帽子比你的漂亮。
He jumped much higher than John. 他比约翰跳得高得多。
She walked even farther than me. 她比我走得还要远一些。
Lucy worked a little more carefully than her sister. 露西工作得比她的姐姐更认真一点。
2.形容词和副词比较级前可以加一些数量词或短语,以更具体的进行比较。
I‘m two years older than you. 我比你大两岁。
He‘s ten centimetres taller than I/ me. 他比我高10厘米。
He ran ten seconds faster than I/ me. 他跑得比我快10秒。
He arrived a quarter earlier than Paul. 他比保罗提前到达一刻钟。
