Some people do the craziest things! Two weeks ago, someone discovered a piano on top of Britain’s highest mountain. The mountain - Ben Nevis - is 1,344 metres high. The easiest route, to the top and back, takes seven hours in good weather. That’s four hours up and three hours down, for a strong walker.
Ben Nevis doesn’t have much good weather. The mountain is three degrees further norththan London( London is 48°North) – and it’s high. The weather can be awful! Snow and ice are normal, in summer and winter. Wind-speeds are often more than 200 kilometres an hour. Ben Nevis is a dangerous place.
So who carried the piano up the mountain And why con earth did they do that
Volunteers are cutting the piano up now, and carrying it down the mountain in pieces.
