Analysis of material The main content: This lesson focuses on comparative degree. It mainly talks about the characteristics of Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The type of this unit: The type of this lesson is grammar. In this lesson, we will find out the use of comparative degree with the theme of my hometown and my country. The purpose of this unit: After learning this lesson, students will find out the use of comparative degree and express their ideas about the characteristics of Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Enhance their thinking and judgement.
Analysis of student Student status Merits: The students are active and curious and they have mastered some simple expressions and grammars to learn this lesson. Shortcomings: They might lack of skills to use comparative degree to describe the characteristics of Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Solutions: Review what we did in the last class. The teacher gives some examples about comparative degree, and ask students to analyze the sentences, integrating students’ perspectives and then imports general rules and usages of the comparative class.
