1. too...to 太……而不能
too是副词，后跟形容词或副词；to为动词不定式符号，后跟动词原形。
e.g. He is too young to look after himself.
可转换为so...that结构。
e.g. The box is too heavy for me to carry.
The box is so heavy that I can't carry it.

2. choose /t u z/ v.选择　(chose，chosen)
choose...as 选……作为
e.g. We chose Amy as our new monitor.
choose...from 从……中选择
e.g. You can choose a book from these books.
choose的名词形式为choice。
常用结构有：make a choice 意为“作出选择”；
have no choice but to do sth.意为“别无选择只能做某事”。
e.g. I have no choice but to call the police.
3. be useful for对……有用
be useful for后跟名词、代词、动词的 ing形式。
e.g. Dictionaries are useful for learning English.
be useful to sb.意为“对于某人来说是有用的”。
e.g. English is useful to us.
4. lively /'la vl / adj.充满活力的，生动有趣的
lively作形容词，同义词为active。以 ly结尾的形容词还有friendly，lovely,容易被误认为是副词。
e.g. She has a lively mind.
