What can I do for you /Can/May I help you /Is there anything I can
do for you 是口语中极为常用的句子，广泛用于商店、饭店、旅
馆、邮局、办事处等场所，作为对顾客的招呼用语。意思是“要
我帮忙吗？/我可以帮你吗？/我能替你做点什么吗？”。
e.g. — What can I do for you 我能为你做些什么？
— I want/would like/to buy a jacket. 我想要一件夹克衫。
3. I think he’s the same size as Brian.
我认为(觉得)他和布莱恩的身材一样。
(1) the same ... as的意思是“和……一样”。
e. g. She is the same age as you. 她和你同岁。
(2) size在这里是“身材”的意思。它还表示“(服装等的)尺码”。
e.g. — What size is your friend
你朋友的身材(高低、胖瘦)如何？
— My sister’s size is “L”. 我妹妹的尺码是L。
4. Try on this jacket, please. 请试试这件夹克衫。
try on的意思是“试穿”。当宾语是名词时，可放在动
词或介词后：当宾语是代词时，只能放在动词之后。
已学过的类似短语还有put on，take off，wake up等。
e.g. He tries it on. 他试了试(它)。
5. Does it fit 它合身吗
fit的意思是“(服装等)合身，合……的身”。多指大小、
形状合适，引申为“吻合，协调”。
e.g. This dress fits you well.
这件连衣裙你穿着很合身。
The jacket fits me very well.
这件夹克衫我穿着非常合身。
6. Do you have any other sizes
你们还有其他尺码的吗
any other+名词复数/名词单数。这句也可以写成Do you have any other size

7. I don’t think Li Ming would like that jacket anyway.
我认为无论如何李明也不会喜欢那件夹克衫的。
(1) I don’t think是一种否定前置(否定转移)的句型。只有第一人称需要前置，二三人称依然在从句中否定。用于这种句型的常见动词有think，believe，suppose，imagine，suppose，expect等。
e.g. I don’t believe he’ll come. 我想他是不会来的。
(2) anyway是副词，意思是“无论如何；不管怎样”。
e.g. I’m not tired, but I’ll go to bed anyway. 我不累，但不管怎样我该睡觉了。
8. He gets another jacket. 他拿了另外一件夹克衫。
another的意思是“再一；另一”。表达两个中的“另一个”时，要用the other；表达“另外的一些，还有的”时，要用others； 表达“ (除一些外的)其余的”时，用the others。
e.g. Don’t lose heart. Have another try. 别灰心，再试一次。
I have two rulers. One is long, and the other is short.
我有两把尺子， 一把长，另一把短。
After class, some play basketball, others play football.
