Nora was feeling bad.She thought it was the worst week in her

worked late so she had to stay at school for one more hour!
She went home and said to her mum,"My whole week was
bad.And those bad things still stay in my mind.Why do I only

me!”
Mum smiled and said."My girl!Don't be angry with yourself.
Everyone feels like that sometimes.Our mind remembers bad
things because it wants to keep us safe.Bad feelings are not easy to

“What should I do ”Nora asked.
"Take a few deep breaths and try to think about something
happy,”Mum said.
Nora took a few deep breaths as Mum told her to and tried to
think of beautiful flowers and the blue sky.

The next week,while Nora was walking to school,she
knocked on a tree and fell over.She felt her face getting hot.She
was going to get angry again.Just at the moment,she remembered
Mum's words and the mind-changing power!She took a deep breath
and tried to feel the warm sun on her face.It worked!It really
worked!She felt much better!
“Well,I fell over,,”she said..“But I also get to play outside,
climb trees,and help my dad bake bread!Life is not that bad!"
