I am Gina. My mother made beef noodles on weekends, usually on Sundays, because they were easy to make for her. She also made them on my birthday—they were and are my favorite food. I often stayed in the kitchen watching her cooking them when I was young.
First, she cut up some beef and an onion, then she put them into a pot. Added some water and salt and cooked them for an hour. Next, she added flour (面粉), eggs, salt and 1/4 cup of milk to a big bowl. She mixed them by hand and got a dough (面团).
Then she rolled (擀) the dough very thin and cut it into noodles. When the beef soup was ready, she poured the noodles into it. After cooking them for about five minutes, we could enjoy the delicious beef noodles.

I never took cooking classes. I learned cooking from my mother because she was really interested in teaching me how to cook.
