So Hailey planted a garden. However, she didn't stop there. The little girl started building mobile shelters for Edward and other homeless people in her neighborhood.
“It just doesn't seem right that there are homeless people,” she said. “I think everyone should have a place to live.”
The shelters come completely with windows, a door and solar panels (太阳能电池板) for electricity. Hailey does most of the work on her own. With support from a charity, she has built a dozen shelters.

“Oh, no, my bike went missing again!” How many of you had this happen to you Now with Yerka, the world's first bike that anyone can't steal, this helps people a lot.
Three Chilean engineers designed Yerka. It looks just like a normal bike. But the bottom tube (管子) of the frame (车架) can turn into two parts. There is a hole in each of those parts. And the seat with a long tube can be pulled out. When the user puts the seat tube into the two holes, it will make a perfect lock. Now you can lock your bike around a pole, fence (篱笆) or even a tree. It can all be done in just 10 seconds, as fast as tying your shoelaces (鞋带).
But why isn't the bike stolen According to the designers, if a thief tried to steal Yerka, he would have to break the frame. That is the best-built part of the bike, and without this the bike would be useless. If the thief breaks the pole or fence that the bike was locked on to, he won't be able to ride it. The frame is still in its locked position. So the bike is impossible to ride.
Andres, one of the designers, had two of his bikes stolen in a short period of time. This inspired the team to invent Yerka, he told the UK newspaper the Daily Telegraph.
The designers are now working on an App, which will allow users to unlock their bike by using a smartphone. Isn't that cool

A.The frame of the bike is not easily broken.
B.The reason why a thief can't steal the bike.
C.The bike is the best-built in the world.
D.We can lock the bike even if there is no pole or tree.
( )65.What gave Andres the idea to invent this bike
A.That he lost two bikes in a short time.
B.That his team liked all kinds of inventions.
C.That he was interested in making apps.
D.That his former bikes were difficult to ride.

Philipp and Johannes are brothers in Germany. They invent funny things and make interesting videos on the Internet. The brothers became popular because of one of their recent videos. In the video, Philipp flew a bathtub (浴缸) to a local food store and bought a sandwich.
At the beginning of the video, Philipp climbed in the special bathtub. He wore a helmet and there was a camera on it to record everything. He used his remote control to let the bathtub rise into the air. After the bathtub took off, it crossed farm land and a small river. At last, it carried Philipp to the food store—Kopps Bakery. Philipp climbed out and went into the store to buy a sandwich. Although the flying bathtub was able to carry Philipp to the food store,it didn't have enough energy to carry him home again.
The brothers spent two months making the flying bathtub. They used drone (无人机) technology on it. “German laws (法律) allow us to do it as long as the bathtub flies lower than 98 feet (30m),” the brothers said.
Johannes said, “Before the bathtub took off, people didn't believe it could actually fly. When it flew away, they were so surprised. This is the world's first flying bathtub. Some people even told us to start a company to sell those bathtub drones.”

Humans have kept animals as pets for tens of thousands of years. But have you ever imagined we would have robotic pets instead of real animals in the future
Jean-Loup Rault, PhD, an animal scientist at the University of Melbourne in Australia, believes robot companions (伴侣) are going to be our new pets.
There are a lot of benefits for a robotic pet. “You don't have to feed it, you don't have to walk it, it won't make a mess in your house, and you can go on holidays without feeling bad,” Rault said.
It's not clear whether or not robotic pets would completely replace real ones. When a Japanese robot seal called Paro was introduced to patients in a hospital, it helped improve their moods and build social bonds.
However, robotic pets may affect our attitudes toward living animals. “If we get used to a robotic companion that doesn't need food, water or exercise, perhaps it will change how humans care about living beings,” Rault said.
So are dogs and cats a thing of the past, as Rault says, maybe for future pet owners who are so closely tied to technology.
( )70.Which of the following is NOT a benefit of a robotic pet
A.You don't need to take it out for a walk.
B.You don't need to prepare food for it.
C.It can communicate with you very well.
D.It won't make your house a mess.
( )71.What does the underlined word “their” refer to in Paragraph 4
A.The patients'.
B.The robot experts'.
C.The robot pets'.
D.The animal pets'.
( )72.What does Rault want to tell us in the passage
A.Robotic pets would completely replace real ones.
B.Robotic pets would become more and more popular with old people.
C.Humans should care more about living beings.
D.Robotic pets would be the best gift for sick people.
