My favorite Spring Festival
The Spring Festival, falling on the first day of the first month of the lunar calendar, is the most important festival for all Chinese people. Although I have experienced it many times, it is still an enjoyable and exciting experience.
Days before the Spring Festival, I helped my parents clean the room thoroughly, decorated my house with papercuts, prepared delicious food, and stuck couplets, eagerly waiting for the coming of the New Year’s Eve . On the Eve of the festival, my family members enjoyed getting together to have a big meal, including the tasty dumplings, fish and so on as we watched the Spring Gala, which was really a feast for the eyes. My parents gave me some lucky money in red paper and I was so excited that I stayed up to welcome the new year.
Although feeling tired, I was extremely happy because the Festival provides a valuable chance for us to enjoy as well as be proud of our customs. I’m looking forward to the coming of the next Spring Festival.
