Language points
1.talented adj. 有才能的;有才干的
talented作形容词,由“talent(n.天赋)+-ed(后缀)”构成,其比较级为more talented。
be talented in“在某方面有天赋”。
He is a talented artist.
My sister is talented in playing the piano.
2.laugh v. 笑;发笑 n. 笑声
1) laugh在此作动词,laugh at sb. “嘲笑某人“。
Don't laugh at people in trouble.
2) laugh还可作可数名词,意为“笑声”。
He gave a short laugh.
laugh 指大笑,不但有面部表情,还有声音。 I can’t stop laughing.
smile 指微笑,一般有面部表情,但没有声音。 She smiled at him and he smiled back.
3.care about 关心;在意
1) care about为动词短语。care在此处作动词,意为“在意,担忧;关心”。
His parents care a lot about him.
He seems to only care about money.
2) care for为动词短语,意为“照顾;照料”,相当于take care of。此外,care for还可意为“非常喜欢”。
She cared for it every day by watering it, weeding it and giving it plant food.
Lily cares very much for the new piano.
(1)care用作动词,意为“对……在意,对……计较”,相当于mind。
e.g. I don’t care what to eat or what to wear at all.
我根本不计较吃什么、穿什么。
(2)take care意为“小心,当心”,相当于be careful。
e.g. Take care! A car is coming. 当心!一辆汽车开过来了。
(3)take care of意为“照顾,照看”,相当于look after。
e.g. Please take care of my pet dog while I’m away.
在我离开时请照顾我的宠物狗。
