本单元融合了“人与自我”和“人与社会” 两大范畴。在“人与自我” 方面,有关学生自我身份的转变与适应,即从小学过渡到初中的心理调适与成长准备;在“人与社会”方面,聚焦于学生对新环境的探索与接纳,包括新学校、新同学、新老师以及新的学习生活方式。 单元主题意义:Welcome to Junior High这一主题旨在为学生营造一个温馨、包容的学习氛围,帮助学生顺利过渡到初中生活,感受成长的喜悦与挑战。通过本单元的学习,学生能够认识自我身份的转变、提高适应能力、增强探索精神、促进同伴交往、提升归属感,开启一段充满希望与梦想的新旅程。 本单元语篇内容围绕preparations tor junior high展开,使学生在学习完十个语篇后了解进人初中学习需要做的准备。先从物质上做好准备,以便有条不紊、从容不迫地迎接开学第一天。到新学校后尽快熟悉新环境、结识新同学、融入新集体,开启新的学校生活,制订新的目标,并付诸行动,为实现目标而努力。Get ready:学生整理好学习用品、教科书,准备好得体的着装,为开启初中生活做好物质准备。Know your school:学生了解校园中不同建筑和区域的用途、功能,熟悉即将学习和生活三年的新环境。Introduce yourself: 学生介绍自己的姓名、兴趣爱好和暑假经历等,在初中结交新朋友,尽快融人班级大家庭。Hold a party:学生通过集体活动增强班级凝聚力和团队协作能力,分享自己的愿望和计划,为开启初中生活做好心理准备。
语篇研读
What: 本课时语篇是朱小萌同学在班上的自我介绍,内容包括自己的姓名、爱好、暑假经历、性格、来到新学校的感受以及想与大家交朋友的愿望。 Why: 学生通过有效的自我介绍,展示自己的个性、兴趣和特长,帮助他人更好地了解和记住自己,从而促进彼此之间的交流和友谊的建立,建立自信的重要途径,锻炼公众演讲的技能,增强自我表达的能力和自信心。 How: 本课时语篇体裁为speech。本部分主要复习和学习自我介绍的相关表达、一般现在时、一般过去时和三种基本句型。
学情分析
本班级学生的英语语言能力、文化意识、思维品质、学习能力方面参差不齐,教师在教学设计时要面向全体学生,对学生抱有合理期待,让他们获得积极学习体验,感受到学习的乐趣和教师的信任。 Know:学生对于自我介绍这个话题比较熟悉,大部分学生能表述介绍name,age,class等方面的简单句型,能使用like,love,sport等关于爱好的词汇。 Want:学生期待通过本课语篇学习,更深入掌握自我介绍的不同方面,尽可能多的掌握本板块的核心词汇和句型。 Learn:学生自我建构思维导图,能使用核心词汇和句型介绍自己的姓名、爱好、暑假经历、性格、感受等。
Teaching objectives
通过本课时学习,学生能够: 1. 在自主阅读活动中,获取和梳理朱小萌的个人信息,自主构建有关自我介绍的结构化知识。(学习理解) 2. 分析、判断是否愿意与朱小萌交朋友,并阐释原因。(应用实践) 3. 基于结构化知识,借助友谊卡,模仿所学文体结构,大方、得体地介绍自己,增进与新同学之间地了解。(迁移创新)

1. To get information related to the theme. 1. Students sing a song and tell what it is about. 2. Students look at the picture and guess what the girl introduces about herself. Observe students’ performance in singing and guessing. Know about students’ understanding to the theme of this lesson.
Purpose: To inspire students’ curiosity and thirst for knowledge in this lesson.(感知与注意)
1. To get the key information about Zhu Xiaomeng. 2. To construct structured knowledge about self-introduction. 3. To know Zhu Xiaomeng well. 1. Students read and underline the key information, and then they talk about the key information in pairs. 2. Students work in groups and conclude what Zhu Xiaomeng introduces about herself. 3. Students read and know more about Zhu Xiaomeng. 3. Students read and discuss in groups if they want to make friends with Zhu Xiaomeng. Observe students’ answers to the questions and know if they really get the key information about Zhu Xiaomeng and understand how she introduces herself. Observe students’ discussion and know if they know Zhu Xiaomeng well.
Purpose: Make students obtain and understand Zhu Xiaomeng’s personal information, and independently construct structured knowledge about self-introduction. (获取与梳理,概括与整合) Make students analyze and determine whether they are willing to make friends with Zhu Xiaomeng, and explain the reasons. (描述与阐释,分析与判断)

Observe students’ friendship cards to make sure they know the aspects of self-introduction. Use the check list to evaluate students’ self-introduction.

Must do: 1. Read the passage again and introduce Zhu Xiaomeng to your deskmate. 2. Polish (润色) your friendship card, then put it up on the blackboard. Choose to do: Write a short self-introduction about yourself.
