As a student, I was most afraid to answer questions in class. At the beginning of each class, when the teacher asked a question, I always lowered my head because I was afraid that the teacher saw me.
One day, in a foreign language class, Mr Black gave us a lesson. He wanted us to be active in class, so he asked us some questions, but no one answered. “Let me tell you a story first,” he said.
“When I came to the United States to study, the university often invited famous people to make speeches. Before the beginning of every speech, I found an interesting thing. The students around me always took cardboards folded (折叠的) in half, wrote their names on them with the most eye-catching color, and then placed the cardboards on the desks. So when the speaker needed the answers from the students, he could see and call a listener's name directly.”
“I couldn't understand that. My classmate told me the speakers were all top people, who meant chances. When your answer was to his surprise, it meant he might give you more chances. In fact, I really saw a few students get great chances because of that.”

Many working people don't go home during the lunch break. Some go to the restaurant to have lunch. Some buy takeout food as their lunch. But buying takeout food is not just costing us money—there might be a cost in damaging (损坏) our planet, too. Just having a sandwich, crisps and maybe a cake and coffee can produce at least four kinds of waste: disposable (一次性的) boxes, cups, wrappers and straws.
Then how can we solve this problem According to Hubbub, an environmental group, people should be encouraged to eat packed lunches. Tessa Tricks from the group says, “People are saying that they are buying takeout food because life has got busier.” But she argues that it's usually healthier and cheaper to make your own lunch. But if you are too busy to make your own lunch and you are going to buy lunch,Hubbub suggests taking your own lunch box to a restaurant and asking them to put your food in it. The idea of using reusable (可多次使用的) coffee cups for hot drinks and refilling water bottles has already proved successful. A survey in East Anglia (in the UK) showed that offering a 10% price reduction did encourage some customers to come with their own lunch boxes.
If we give our lunchtime eating habits some thought, we can all do our best to help prevent climate change and reduce damage to our environment.

People may have different dreams as they grow older. What do you want to be when you grow up Everyone needs to answer this question.
When I was a little girl, my parents always asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I used to tell them a general, doctor, guard, and many more that I probably don't remember. But now I really know what I want to be. I want to be a fashion designer.

I also like reading fashion magazines. They are quite expensive, but my parents say they will pay for them if I am really interested in reading them. They want me to learn as much as possible.

One Possible Version:
Wuhu in Anhui is my hometown. Great changes have taken place in my hometown in the past years.
There used to be a lot of low and old houses. But now plenty of high buildings have taken place of them. In the past, the roads were so narrow that they became crowded when some cars were passing by. Now, the roads have been widened. Dirty water was poured and rubbish was thrown everywhere before, which not only made people feel awful but also polluted the environment. However, people have sorted their rubbish into bins and they have known that it's important to protect the environment now. I love the changes in my hometown.
