本节课学生需掌握的重点词组较多,因此需要反复练习,让学生在所给的情境中进行操练.听力是学生的难点,因此,在听了课文之后,让学生跟读听力原文,增强学生的听力水平.
本节课能够完成教学任务.学生能描述自己的学习方式方法和学习困难。大部分同学能掌握本节课的重点词组和句型,听力也有所提高.但也有部分同学不能掌握本节课的内容,需进行小组帮扶指导.

本节课设置内容非常多，在听力练习上多听一遍，听一下听力原文。Role-play让学生用所学短语多进行本单元的重点句型、短语练习。
本单元话题是学会学习、讲述学生的学习障碍及相对应的解决方法。在Section A部分，侧重学习、训练相关语言内容及技能。重点涉及：by + doing结构描述学习方式方法；用How do you study? I study by ... How can I ...? You can...的句型进行学习方法的交流。难点：用丰富的语言描述我的学习方式方法和学习困难。

在话题上，Section B 是在学习方式方法话题的基础上，将主题延伸至大范围内的学习困难及解决方案，进而在通过阅读课文引申到优秀学习者的学习方法上；语言上，在巩固Section A 所学语言结构的基础上进一步丰富了与学习相关的话题词汇；技能上，讲听、说能力综合训练，突出阅读训练，由读促写；策略上，通过阅读引导学生关注优秀学生的学习方式，借鉴并用于自身；情感上，鼓励学生直面学习困难，积极探索解决方法，不断改善提高自己的学习方法及效率。
Section A部分共分为两个课时来进行，在第一课时上注重对学生的听说进行训练，目的是让学生能够听懂并在情境中进行学习方法的交流和口头描述。第二课时是一节阅读课，通过读一篇关于一名英语学习困难的学生，因为对英语电影的喜爱，从一名英语学习被动、困难的学生转变为一名主动学习英语，并且掌握了适合自己的学习意识、了解学习方法的改进及提高给自身带来的好处。从语言上看，语言结构只是掌握“by + doing", 但是所涉及的短语内容非常丰富，为后续Grammar Focus和 Section B部分的学习奠定了良好的基础。
在本单元，针对听、说、读、写进行训练，落实课标的要求。
