At the end of this lesson, students will be able to talk about their favorite singer and musician by perceiving, constructing and using the Present Perfect Tense through listening, speaking and even a little writing.

Thinking Quality Under the teacher’s guide, encourage students to accurately obtain and express the most quality of thinking about a variety of music types and improve the logic, critical and creative thinking.

T: Who are they Who is your favorite singer or musician Why do you like him or her Present the picture of the band in 1b. Ask some questions: Q1.What can you see in the picture Q2.A group of people play together, we can called them _______________ Q3.What kind of music do they play Step 3. While-listening. Work on 1b. Listen to a conversation between Alex and Dave. Write A for Alex or D for Dave next to each opinion. 1)Let Ss to read the instruction first. Make sure they can understand each word. 2)Play the recording twice. 3)After listening, call some Ss to report their answers then. Work on1c. 1)Lead Ss to recognize the chart in 1c. Play the recording for another two times. 2)Check the answers by retelling the key points in the chart. 3)Present the listening material and explain some language points. Step 4. Post-listening. True or false. According to their notes, judge the statements. Summary. Fill in the blanks according to the transcript of 1c and 1d. Group work.
