教材内容分析 本课是一节阅读课。3a的阅读篇章以第一人称讲述了因为对英语电影的喜爱,一名英语学习被动、困难的学生转变为一名主动学习英语、热爱英语的学生的故事。活动3a提出三个问题,帮助学生掌握文章主要内容;活动3b将语篇内容和本单元的重点语言结构“by+动词-ing形式”相结合,对作者使用的英语学习的方法进行梳理。
重点 与英语学习方法相关的词汇;“by+动词-ing形式”结构表方式、方法的用法;
难点 理解和正确使用“by+动词-ing形式”结构表方式、方法;阅读技巧及能力的培养。
学情分析 经过多年的英语学习,刚入九年级的学生已掌握了一定量的英语语言知识并知晓多种英语学习策略。应注意利用本课时探讨英语学习方法的时机引导学生学习新词,同时滚动复现七、八年级学过的相关短语和搭配,帮助学生反思并梳理他们自己的英语学习方法,促进其学习策略的继续形成。

Step 1. Lead in Talk about the names of the main characters and the main plot of the movie --- Toy Story. Step 2. Pre-reading. Watch a clip of the movie with only English subtitles. Try to understand it. Sa: Key words. Sb: Body language. Sc: Expressions on their faces. Step 3. While-reading. Predicting. Look at the title and the picture in 3a and have a prediction about the topic of the passage. Skimming. Look through the passage and answer the questions. Sa: She didn’t like English class. Sb: Yes, she really enjoys English class. Scanning. Read Para.1 and answer the questions. Sa: Because the teacher spoke so quickly that she didn’t understand her. And her pronunciation was poor. Sb: She hid behind her textbook and never said anything. Read Para.2 carefully and fill in the blanks. Ss: Listening to something interesting. Read Para.3 and compare Para 1 to complete the table. Step 4. Post-reading. According to the mind-map, try to retell the story to their partners and then in class. Sa: Wei Fen disliked her English class last year, because she couldn’t understand her teacher. ... Discussion. Work in groups of four and have a discussion.
