教材内容分析 本课是一节听说课,在A部分的基础上,进一步拓展话题,融入新词汇,帮助学生扩充自己的描述性词汇语库,训练他们运用形容词描述相关场所的品质特征。听力训练,让学生进一步巩固使用宾语从句正确询问信息,培养学生在真实语境中灵活运用语言的能力,强化目标语言运用意识。本课时在前三课时基础上,语言运用难度有所提高,课堂任务应追求语言学习实践和应用能力的提升。

学情分析 通过本节课,让学生明白如何根据地点的特点选择自己所需的场所以及如何正确询问地点的信息。本课话题紧密联系学生生活实际,有利于学生乐于学习的运用。此外,九年级的学生已积累了一定数量的形容词,在前面的课时中也对一些含有wh-疑问词的宾语从句的复合句做礼貌用语的用法相当熟悉,有利于本课的继续学习。

Step 1. Lead-in. Have a free talk with T about the information we can give to the tourists. Ss: The museums of the city. /The parks... Step 2. Pre-listening. Learn to talk about the qualities of different places. Sa: I think the first one is better. Because it’s quiet and there are fewer people in it. Learn some new adjectives to describe the qualities of the places. Then have a conclusion about the words. Match the words with their opposites. E.g. interesting—uninteresting expensive — inexpensive quiet — unquiet Write the words from the box next to each place in 1a. Report their answers then. Try to describe the city with the description words. Step 3. While-listening. Look at the picture and guess. Sa: Sunville Tourist Information. This is a place to help tourists. Sb: A clerk. Sc: They are some tourists. Maybe these tourists are a family. Listen to the three conversations and complete the sentences. Then report their answers in class. Listen again and try to find out the answers to the questions. Check the answers. Step 4. Post-listening. Work in groups and play the roles of the clerk and the tourists. Make a conversation and act out in class. Step 5. Conclusion. Have a summary of what we have learned with the help of T. Do some exercises. Create a situation of Sunville.
