教材内容分析 本课是一节阅读课。3a的阅读篇章讲述的是一个中国学生在美国的商店找不到美国制造的产品而几乎都是中国制造的事实。同时,在文章的结尾处,指出了我国在世界经济竞争中的不足之处。文中不仅呈现更多的日常生活词汇,还再现了本单元要求学习和掌握的被动语态句型。
重点 理解文章信息,掌握被动语态的句式结构;
难点 正确理解中国制造的深层含义,掌握主动语态与被动语态的互换。
学情分析 通过第一课时的学习,学生们了解了被动语态的结构,在此基础上复习该结构,并引出be made in China这个话题,很多学生对于该话题较为熟悉,但对这个话题的理解往往停留在表面上。本节课通过一个中国学生寻找美国制造的产品的故事,让学会更深刻、理性地看待中国制造的问题。

Step 1. Lead in Watch the video. Learn about the objectives and new words of this lesson. Have a free talk with T. Ss: Visit places of interest / Taste fine food / Chat with local people / Learn a little local language / buy special local products / ... Step 2. Pre-reading. Talk about the famous things in different countries. Ss: Watches and knives. Watch two videos about foreigners’ opinions on this phenomenon. Step 3. While-reading. Picture-talk. Observe the picture and answer the questions. Sa: the US. Sb: It means the flag was made in China. Title-talk. Read the title and answer the questions. Sa: In the US. Sb: Maybe he wants to buy American products. Sc: No, it isn’t. Choose the main idea of the passage according to the title. Sd: Kang Jian’s difficult search for products made in America. Careful-reading. Read Para.1 and answer the questions. Sa: Four countries. Sb: In San Francisco. Sc: Even though most of the toys were American brands, they were made in China. Read Para.2 and answer the questions. Sd: Because he wants to find a pair of basketball shoes made in America. Se: Americans can hardly avoid buying products made in China. Finish the mind-map about Kang Jian’s experience. Step 4. Post-reading. Watch the video and read more information to learn about our country. Sa: In medical aspect, vaccines have been developed and shots have been administered immediately. Sb: In space aspect, the number of space launches has reached 402 times and the success rate is 92.67%. Talk about their opinions in groups and in class. Step 5. Conclusion. Try to have a summary about what they have learnt this lesson. Play a video about things made in China. Show the aims and the new words to Ss. And play a “quick response” game with them. Ask a question to lead in the topic. T: If you take a trip abroad, what would you do T: Japan is famous for its cameras, right How about Switzerland T: Even though most of these products are foreign brands, they were made in China. You can hardly avoid buying products made in China . T: As we know, there are so many things made in China in England. Let Ss look at the picture and guide them to think: T: Which country does the national flag belong to T: What does “Made in China” mean on the flag Let Ss read the title and guide them to think: T: Where is the tourist T: Does he want to buy Chinese products or American ones T: Is it easy for him to buy American products Let Ss find out the key word and sentence.
