重点 听懂并完成本课时的听力任务,运用所学词汇和被动语态简单介绍风筝的特点,如制造材料、产地、外貌特征等;

学情分析 学生对于“风筝”这一话题非常熟悉,对于潍坊国际风筝节也有所耳闻,教师可以自然地引导学生利用所学句型谈论风筝的制作材料以及其他相关信息。听前做好充分的铺垫,有助于学生听力活动的顺利进行,也有利于听后的语言输出。

Step 1. Warming up. Watch a video about the kite festival in Hebei and get to know some information about the international kite festival in Weifang based on T’s introduction. Step 2. Pre-listening. Have a brainstorming about what they’ve known about kites. Ss: Yes! Sa: The kite in the shape of a butterfly/ dragon/ goldfish/ ... Through the pictures, learn about the four main kinds of Chinese kites. Observe the pictures of different kites and guess their materials. Sa: It’s made of paper. Sb: It’s made of silk. Sc: It’s made of plastic. Learn about the process of making a kite through watching the video. Work on 1a. Sa: What are kites made of Sb: Kites are usually made of bamboo and paper. Step 3. While-listening. Listening for main idea. Read the instruction and guess the answers. Listen to the conversation twice and find out the main ideas by catching some key words. Sa: Laura is trying to find out more about what Zheng Yun did on his vacation. Listening for detailed information. Listen and write L for Laura or Z for Zheng Yun. Sb: Zheng Yun went on a vacation to Weifang. Listen again and fill in the blanks with what they hear. Step 4. Post-listening. Filling in the plete the chart according to the conversation. Complete the short passage based on the chart. Pair work. Work in pairs and role-play a conversation between Laura and Zheng Yun using the information in 1b-1d. Sa: Where did you go on vacation Sb: I went to an international kite festival. Sa: That sounds interesting. What did you see there Step 5. Conclusion. Have a summary of what we have learned with the help of T. T: Kite flying is a traditional sports game widely popular among the Chinese people. Play a video about a kite festival. Show some pictures to guide Ss talk about the different shapes of kites. T: Do you like flying kites T: What kind of kites do you know T: There are kinds of kites in many different shapes. Ask Ss to write down some materials used in making kites and share the materials by using passive voice. Make sure Ss can understand the meaning of the instruction and questions. Play the recording and ask Ss to circle the correct answers. While checking answers, encourage them to talk about the reasons. Before playing the recording, ask Ss to read the phrases in 1c and the sentences in 1d by themselves and make sure they can understand the meaning. Check the answers.
