In order to tell you what I believe, I must bring up something from my personal history.
The turning point of my life was my decision to give up my promising business job and study music. My parents didn't think it was a good choice to 21 music as a job. Considering my family background, this was understandable. My grandfather had taught music for forty years at Spring Hill College. Although he was 22 loved by his students, he didn't earn (挣) enough money to support his large family. 23 this example in the family, my parents strongly asked me to go to college instead of a music school when I graduated from senior high school. So I went to college.
Before my graduation from Columbia University , my 24 ran into some financial problems and I felt it was my duty to leave college and find a job. That was why I took a business job. I was always thinking of those years in business as the 25 years. I went into it for money, for being able to help the family. Money was all I got from it, but it was not enough. I felt that life was passing by and I became very 26 .
My wish was to save enough money to quit(离开) and go to Europe to study music. I continued to make money, and finally, little by little, I saved enough to go to 27 .
At that time, my family managed to get away from trouble. My family no longer needed my help, so I gave up my position and sailed for Europe. I stayed there for four years, working harder than I had ever dreamed before, and 28 every minute of learning music.
“ Enjoyed” is a too soft word. I was walking on air(欢天喜地). I felt completely free because I was doing what I loved. I really led a happy life. When I 29 business, it was against the advice of all my friends and family members. But if I had stayed in business, I would not have made a success of living.
Money is a wonderful thing, but now I know that it is possible to pay a 30 price for it.

You may study differently from your friends, but your study habits are not wrong!
Kelly and Maria are best friends with a lot in common. They love doing things together, such as going to the movies and concerts, shopping, or just sitting at a small café. Since they take a lot of the same school subjects, they would love to study together, but they find this impossible. Their working styles are so completely different that they can't be in the same room while they are studying!
Kelly would like to study in a clean, open space, while Maria works best with books, papers and other things around her. Kelly prefers to study in a totally silent room, but Maria loves to play music or even have the TV on. Kelly can sit for hours without moving, and often gets all her homework done in one sitting. Maria, however, is always getting up, and says that she thinks best when she's on the move.
You might be asking yourself: which way of studying gets better results Many people believe that a silent, tidy setting (环境) is the way to go, ▲ . Some research has even shown that outside noise and untidiness help some people focus (集中) their attention, because it makes them form a“ wall” in their mind around what they are doing and improves their focus.
So, if you' re a student who chooses to study while sitting at a table in a busy shopping center, don't worry about it. If you work in total silence, that's OK, too. Judging from Kelly's and Maria's study habits, the best way to study is the way that works for you. In their very different ways, both of them do well in school, and both finish their work within the required time as well.
( )31. Kelly and Maria are mentioned as an example in this passage to
A. discuss two different study habits
B.compare the differences in their hobbies
C. show the importance of a good study habit
D. express the writer's worry about their friendship
( )32. Which of the following is the best to fill in the blank in Paragraph 4
A. and they have difficulty in study
B. and it can be true for most of them
C. but that doesn't seem necessarily true
D. but nobody does research on this question
( )33. What can we infer from the last paragraph of this passage
A. Students who like to study in silence will be more successful.
B. Both study habits can help students make progress in their studies.
C. Only a small number of students can study well in a noisy situation.
D. Friends with different study habits can do better by studying together.

Who is the greatest teacher in Chinese history Many people would think of Confucius, whose birthday was September 28. Although he lived over 2,000 years ago, people still remember and respect him for his contribution to the education today.

Why are your study habits different from those of your friends Why do you seem to learn faster in some classes while more slowly in others 39. Scientists say there are three different learning types: visual (视觉型), auditory(听觉型), and kinesthetic (动觉型).
Visual learners learn best by seeing. If you seem to easily remember information from pictures, graphs (图表), and videos, you are probably a visual learner. 40. Never mind. You can draw graphs or pictures instead, if you find that works better for you.
41. If you seem to easily remember things by hearing them, then you are probably an auditory learner. You must listen carefully while the teacher is speaking because it's the easiest way for you to learn.42. After class, you can write down what you remember or borrow your friend's notes to copy.
Kinesthetic learners learn best by doing things. If you seem to learn best by working with your hands, you are probably a kinesthetic learner.43. Of course, you can learn best by making full use of labs or other class activities.
Hope you learn better by knowing what your personal learning type is.
A. Auditory learners learn best by hearing. B. How do you learn faster than others in class C. We can learn better by seeing, hearing and doing things. D. You' re not good at copying down what the teacher says in class. E. One reason you may not know is that people have different learning types. F. Sometimes you may find that taking notes stops you from listening carefully. G. Taking notes by writing can make you pay close attention to information as you receive it.

The last Monday in March is an important day in China. It is a day for school safety education. This year, the day falls on March 25. It helps students learn more about safety and make sure they are safe. What are some accidents(事故) at school How can you keep yourself safe Take a look!
The main accidents at school are stampedes(踩踏), earthquakes and fires.
A stampede always happens in crowed places. When students around you begin to push, stand there and try to hold onto something. If you fall down in the crowd, put your hands around your head. Move to one side and bend (弯曲) your body and legs.
Earthquakes happen all over the world. When you feel everything is moving quickly, get under a desk and hold on, according to China Earthquake Administration (地震局). If you are outdoors, find a place away from buildings, trees and power lines (电线).
When there's a fire, leave the classroom quickly. It's better to put something wet over your mouth and nose. This way, you won't breathe in smoke. Many people die in a fire, not because of the fire, but smoke. It makes them cough and they can't breathe. That's very dangerous! So when you want to get out, you should make yourself lower to the floor. Then you can breathe some fresh air.

One Possible Version:
Having a positive learning attitude and finding the proper learning methods both play important roles in our study. However, I hold the perspective that the learning attitude is of greater importance. That's because it's the first step in our study.
Here's my own experience. In the second year of junior high school,I thought I had mastered the learning methods for English after one year's study. I knew we must memorize words according to their phonetic symbols and it was necessary to use the words more often in order not to forget them. My teacher also said I was a smart learner. Having these in mind, at the beginning of Grade 8, I paid less attention to English classes. In class I began to talk and laugh with my desk mate when the teacher didn't notice us. As for the homework, I didn't do it as carefully as before and many mistakes appeared in it. When the midterm exam came, as a result, my grade dropped a lot. Then my English teacher talked to me and pointed out that there was something wrong with my learning attitude, not my learning methods. It was then that I realized how important a good attitude was.
So let's learn a lesson from my story. It's always said that the attitude is everything. Only with a positive and correct attitude will your learning methods work. Nothing is impossible for a willing heart!

From then on, we learned English together and shared ideas, problems and happiness. We became good friends. Sharing with friends helped me bring back my confidence.
