教案
1教学目标
知识目标:
1.能听懂、会说、认读单词 who、then、hair、 so、 grandparents.
2.能理解并使用was ,were来谈论过去的事情和情况。
3.能听懂、会读、理解课文并回答相关的问题。
技能目标:能够运用was和were来描述过去,介绍自己或他人过去的事情。
情感目标:
培养学生的观察能力,发现人物和事物过去与现在的变化,保持他们对学习英语的热情。
2学情分析
本课的教学对象是四年级学生,他们已经掌握了一定的英语词汇,具有一定的英语学习的积极性,具备一定的英语语言运用能力。因此,教师应在教学过程中为学生提供适当真实的语言环境,让学生明白本课学习的句型在真实情况下应如何使用。本节课的语言点对学生的学习有些难度,因此教师要在教学过程中时刻注意学生的接受情况,对学生多加以鼓励,及时调整教学节奏,让学生在听说读写的过程中体验、感知、理解目标语句。
3重点难点
重点:
词汇:grandparent, then, hair, was, were;
句型:I was … They were …
难点:
1、使用 “was” “were”描述从过去到现在发生的变化。
2、was与were的区分运用及then 的正确发音。

活动1【导入】Step1.Warm up
1、Greetings
2、Count numbers
【设计意图:复习数字,并提问与数字有关的问题,让学生更好的理解和参与到后面的教学活动中。】
Step2:Leading
1、Revise some words
Before our class, let’s play a game和老师唱反调。I say “long” and you say “short”. OK
Ss: OK.

T: tall
Ss: short
2、Look at the screen, who is that girl Can you guess Ss: It’s…
Ss: It’s you.
T: Yes. You are right. It’s me.
Then(在那时)I was 2. Now I am 26.(then和now)
Then my hair(头发)was short. Now my hair is long.(教授hair)
3、Show your photos and introduce your character, and say "I was..."
4、出示grandparents年轻时与现在的照片。
T: They are my grandparents.
Then they were young. Now they are old.
4、Review the new words.
活动2【讲授】Step3:Textbook
1、细听录音,跟读课文。
2、听录音回答问题
Who is that little girl
How old was she then
3、Read after the tape.
4、Read after the teacher.
5、Read in pairs.
Step 4 Practice
1、Conclude the points of past tense.(am/is - was, are - were)
2、Fill in blanks by using is, was, are, were
3、Use was and were to make sentences, they must know the difference between then and now.
活动3【作业】Step 5 Conclusion
1、小记者采访
学生在班内自由走动,看其他同学小时候的照片与现在的照片,将其对比情况大胆地表达出来。
2、Show pictures to conclude.
3、Homework.

教学目标:
知识与技能:
Sentences: They weren’t old then. They were young.
Grasp the simple past tense. And using the past tense to talk about some changes.
Have the Ss say the chant.
Have the Ss valve their time.

教学方法:讲授、过去时
教学过程:
(一)导入:Have the Ss retell the story.
Check up Ss’ homework.( Activity IV)
Get the Ss to act out the dialogue. (Have the Ss interest in English)
(二)探究新知Leading
Describe the photos or pictures with comparing the present and the past.
Tell the Ss “wasn’t”and “was not” are the same. And “weren’t” is the same as “were not”.
Play the tape and have the Ss listen and find out the adjectives. And report them.( Review the adjectives and find out the differences)
Learn the chant.
First, get the Ss to look at the pictures and describe them.
(A small chick and two big fat hens.) Then play the spoken version of the chant and get the Ss to repeat the words then chant.
(三)巩固新知Listen and repeat.
Chant and do the mimes at the same time.
Have the Ss do Activity IV.
Look at the pare “now” and “then”. Then describe the pictures. (Cultivate the Ss’ oral English.)
4. Do the Activity Book. Have the Ss work in groups. Sa will act out Sb who was in many years ago. Then Sc will introduce the two Ss. Find out some changes with the past and present tense.
