教材分析
本单元的中心话题是谈论天气，以及继续运用现在进行时态来描述人们的即时活动。本节课的教学重点是how引导的询问天气的特殊疑问句，描述天气状况的形容词，还有与天气相关的人们相应的即时活动。涉及的文化背景知识主要有世界各地的气候差异，谈论天气是顺利进行交际的一个交际策略。
学情分析
本班是年级的实验班，整体学习成绩较好，但在英语学习上存在两极分化现象。最高分90多分，最低分60几分。（上期末成绩）学生有学习愿望，态度好，规矩好，能够积极参与课堂活动。但有时表达不够自信，主要原因在于基础知识，尤其是对一些细节知识的掌握不牢固，造成他们口头和书面表达中常出错。
教学目标
通过本节课的学习，学生将能够：
①准确说出描述天气的5个形容词
②用所学形容词来谈论天气情况
③谈论不同天气下人们正在做的事情,感受天气对人们生活的影响
