课标分析 新课标要求九年级学生能听懂发音清晰、语速较慢的简短口头表达,获取关键信息;积累常用的词语搭配;在听、读、看的过程中,围绕语篇内容记录重点信息,整体理解和简要概括主要内容;能围绕相关主题,运用所学语言,与他人进行日常交流,语音、语调、用词基本正确,表达比较连贯;领会所学简短语篇蕴含的人文精神、科学精神和劳动价值,感悟诚实、友善等中外社会生活中的传统美德;有自信自强的良好品格,做到内化于心、外化于行;能多角度、辩证地看待事物和分析问题;有积极主动的学习态度和较强的自信心;能主动参与课内外各种英语实践活动,注意倾听,积极使用英语进行交流。

教材内容分析 本课是一节听说课,在话题上转向对未来的展望。1a-1e活动通过听说活动拓展和巩固了目标语言的运用。1a-1b活动是听前的预热,话题和内容与听力内容紧密相关。活动1c-1d主要检测学生对听力材料的理解,并在理解的基础上实现信息转换。活动1e要求学生根据所列问题提示准备演讲,主要训练学生的口头表达,巩固所学语言。

难点 准备毕业演讲;
学情分析 九年级的学生已经系统学习英语三年了,大部分学生能够掌握基本的英语技能,能够积极地参与本单元的话题讨论,并且做很好的总结。但是因为长期的英语学习,让学生产生了疲惫心理,课堂上不愿意主动开口发言,特别是一部分口语发音不标准的学生。因此,教师要通过设计有趣的切合学生实际的课堂活动和任务,积极引导学生热情参与课堂活动,并在活动中得到综合的提升。

Step 1. Lead-in. Look at the pictures and talk about their memories in junior high. Step 2. Pre-listening. Listen to the song and review the words about different jobs. Make sure they can understand the instruction and write about their hopes, including education, job and other meaningful things. Sa: What do you hope to do in the future Sb: I hope to help people who get sick and become a doctor. Step 3. While-listening. Look at the pictures in 1c carefully and make predictions. Ss: Jobs. Ss: Maybe future jobs. Listen to a class discussion. Check the hopes they hear. Report their answers. Listen again and match the names of the students with their dreams. Report their answers. Sa: Bob hopes to pass the exam to get into a senior high school. Listen again and match the names of the students with their dreams. Step 4. Post-listening. Survey and report. Work with their group members and talk about their hopes after graduation. One student make a record and one student give a report. Sa: We are going to graduate from this school. we feel sad about it and... Preparing a speech. With T’s help, try to answer the questions in 1e. Write an outline first. After learning about what to say in each part of the speech, prepare a short speech and try to show themselves in class. Step 5. Conclusion. Have a summary of what we have learned with the help of T. Present some “old photos” of the class. T: These are our memories. Goodbye every one! I will remember all of you. We're graduating! T: What do you want to do in the future Do you have a plan Play an English song — Be What You Wanna Be. T: No matter what you will be in the future, go to the senior high school first. Let Ss write about what they would like to do in the future. An example is given. E.g. get a business degree and become a manager Ask Ss to talk about what they hope to do in the future in pairs. Then invite some Ss to show their conversations. Guide Ss to observe the pictures and guess what the conversation is about. T: What do they discuss Play the recording. For the first time, let Ss check the hopes that are talked about. Provide the names and the sentences about hopes. Guide Ss to read to catch key words and play the recording for the second time. Provide a chart including names, hopes and ways for Ss to fill in the blanks. For the fourth time, let Ss complete the passage in 1d. Provide a chart including names and hopes for Ss to have a group work. Then invite some Ss to give a report based on the structure. T: What should we do now if we want to make our dream come true T: Suppose that you are invited to make a speech at the Graduation Party, what might be listed in your speech Give some guidance on each part of the speech.
