1．grow up意为“长大；成熟”。
She wants to be a doctor when she grows up.
她长大后想成为一名医生。
2．some bad news意为“一些坏消息”。注意：news是不可数名词，不能用不定冠词a／an修饰。表示“一条消息或新闻”用apiece of news。news作主语时，谓语动词用单数形式。
There is some bad news in today's newspaper.今天的报纸上有一些不好的新闻。
3.This made Jane very sad.
这让简很难过。
made Jane very sad 是 make 后接形容词作宾语补足语的用法。另外，make后还可接不带to的动词不定式作宾补，即make sb.do sth.，意为“使某人做某事”。

4．in a third picture意为“在第三张照片上”。序数词前通常加定冠词the，但也可加不定冠词a／an，表示“再一个／次；又一个／次”，相当于another。

5．come true 意为“实现；成为现实”。其主语通常是梦想、愿望等。

2．a few，few，a little 与little
（1）a few与a little意为“一些；少量的”，表示肯定的含义，a few修饰可数名词复数，a little修饰不可数名词。

瓶子里有点儿水。
（2）few和little意为“很少；几乎没有”，表示否定的含义，few修饰可数名词复数，little修饰不可数名词。
There are few students in the classroom.
