Don’t be too hard on yourself . Soccer is about team effort . You are not the only reason why your team lost. If you have a good team, you should support each other. Besides, winning or losing is only half the game. 本课采用的教材是人教版《新目标》九年级上册Unit11 Sad movies make me cry. Period 4 Reading The Winning Team.
本单元的话题:情感(Feelings)。
本单元的功能:谈论事物如何影响人的心情(Talk about how things affect you)
Section B是Section A内容的继续和延伸。在话题上,从Section A事物对人情感产生影响的简单叙述,转向描述人们对某种情感所持有的观念;在语言上,除了进一步综合训练、巩固单元重点语言内容外,正确、得体的运用相关的形容词描绘情感,表达情感变化成为本部分的重点;在语言技能上,则由Section A的单项技能训练转向侧重听、说、读、写的综合性训练。
学情分析
学习对象:初三(4)班为实验班。大多数学生英语学习兴趣较浓,自信心强,乐于感知新事物。他们乐于展示自己,对英语学习的热情高。学生们基础知识扎实,阅读能力较强,但相应的阅读技能仍需提高。为了给学生创造自我展示和自我学习的平台,本课设计了现场采访活动,为他们提供了一个很好的展示平台。本节课在活动之间搭设台阶,在课堂活动设计上遵循由易到难的原则,尽量让所有学生都有积极参与的机会和欲望,使不同层次的学生都学有所得。通过本课学习,进一步加强他们的语言综合运用能力。
设计思路
本节课是第十一单元第四节课——阅读课,本节课的学习目标有三个。第一个是让学生掌握略读、寻读的阅读技巧,并学会合理运用这种技能;第二个是让学生理解、运用所学的习语;第三个是帮助学生树立勇于面对挫折的积极态度。为了实现以上三个学习目标,首先安排学生观看本班篮球赛的视频,激发学生对所学内容的学习兴趣并谈论比赛结束时的感想,以此引入“比赛输赢”的话题,进而引出发生在Peter身上的故事。用快速提取故事六要素的方式,训练学生运用skimming的阅读技能并在语境中理解习语的运用。在找到故事六要素的基础上,培养他们简单讲述故事情节的能力。然后学生要在运用Scanning的阅读技能的过程中,进一步了解故事的细节和文章的典型习语。通过层层递进的四个问题,让学生深入发掘文章的核心内容和中心思想,理解作者的写作目的和意义。再设计讨论环节,学生共同讨论他们对题目的理解并总结出“The Winning Team”的特点。 为了使语言的输入和输出紧密相连,最后的活动是向学生布置本课的终极任务,并用这个任务创设有效的口语交际场景——几个月后Peter所在的小队赢得了比赛,记者将去采访他们获胜的秘诀。学生以五人为一小组,分别代表故事中不同的角色,按照要求组织语言、进行采访活动。在这个过程中,不仅锻炼了学生的组织能力、合作能力和口语表达能力,同时巩固了他们运用所学习语的能力,起到激发学生学习兴趣的目的。整个活动突出学生为主体,教师为主导的教学理念,学生的积极参与贯穿始末,使学生在潜移默化中完成从学习目标语言到运用目标语言的迁移。
