形容词和副词的比较级和最高级规则变化：

大多数形容词和副词有三个等级：
1.原级（不作比较），修饰词very, so, too, pretty, really；多用于as…(原级)as与……一样…… not as/so…as不如。
2.比较级，表示“较……”或“更……”的意思（两者之间进行比较）, 标志词than, A or B, of the two, 修饰词much, a lot, a little；
3.最高级，表示“最……”的意思（三者或三者以上作比较），形容词最高级前面一般要加定冠词the，后面可带in（of）短语来什么比较的范围。

　　 The harder you work, the better you will learn.
2.最高级的用法：
　 最高级前一般有the，也可省略。
　　 He works (the) hardest of all the students in the class.

形容词副词比较级最高级使用注意事项:
1.比较应在同类事物之间进行。
误：Your English is better than me. 正：
2.比较级前可以有一个表示程度的状语，最常见的修饰词是：a little, much, even。
3.以下单词也可用来修饰：any, far, still, a lot, yet, rather。
eg. My sister is a little taller than me. Their house is much larger than ours.
名词短语也可修饰比较级，说明程度。eg. I’m three years older than he.
【特别提醒】：very, quite, too不可修饰比较级。
4.序数词通常只修饰最高级。
eg. Africa is the second largest continent.
The Yellow River is the second longest river in China.
This is the third most popular song of Michael Jackson.
