Step1 导入新课
这是新学期的第一课,教师要进行必要的情感交流,一方面沟通师生情感,另一方面为语言学习营造轻松愉快的氛围。交流的话题如假期的见闻,游历等,比如Have you got a happy holiday What impressed you a lot in the holiday There’s also something nice in the school. 看图片,认识并了解图中的世界奇观,完成Activity1和Activity2中的问题。
Step2 听力训练
1.结合听力仔细观察图片,借助Activity2所提供的答案引导学生更好地了解课文内容。(Listen for the first time)

1. Which two are natural wonders 哪两个是自然奇观?
1)natural 形容词,意为“大自然的”。其名词形式为nature,意为“大自然,自然界”。
2)wonder 在此为可数名词,意为“奇观,奇迹”,还可作动词,意为“想知道,对…感到好奇”,形容词形式为wonderful, 意为“极好的,精彩的”

1.辨析 arrive, reach与get:三者都表示到达,但有区别。
(1)arrive vi.后接介词in/at+地点名词。一般到达大的地方用in,到达小的地方用at.
(2)reach vt.后面可以直接跟宾语
(3)get vi.其后接介词to.
注:(1)当这些词后接副词home, here, there等时,不加任何介词。
(2) 三个词中只有arrive可单独使用,后面不接介词和宾语。
2.辨析through, across与cross:三者都表示“通过;穿过”,但词性和用法不同。
(1) through 是介词,表示从一端到另一端,它表示的动作是在内部空间进行的。

4.辨析 rise 与raise

5.句型:英语中表达长、宽、高、深等概念时,即表示计量的方法。

时态复习
1.一般现在时
(1)表示经常发生的动作、存在的状态或现阶段的习惯。常用的时间状语有:always, often, sometimes, in the morning, every day, on Sunday等。
She is always ready to help others.
她总是乐于助人。
(2)表示不受时间限制的客观事实或普遍真理。
Three plus two is five.
3加2等于5。
Light travels faster than sound.
光比声音传播得快。
2.一般过去时
一般过去时表示在过去时间里发生的动作或存在的状态,也表示过去经常或反复发生的动作,常与表示过去的时间状语连用,如a few minutes ago, yesterday, last Sunday 等以及由连词 when等引导的时间状语从句。
When I was a little child, I often went to play in that park.
当我是个小孩子时,我常去那个公园玩。
3.一般将来时
一般将来时表示将来发生的动作或存在的状态,也表示将来经常或反复发生的动作,常与表示将来的时间状语tomorrow, next year, in a few days, next Sunday, next week等连用。

4.现在进行时
现在进行时表示此时此刻或这一阶段正在进行的动作,常与now, these days等时间状语连用。
They are learning Chinese in Beijing now.

5.过去进行时
过去进行时表示过去某一时间或某段时间内正在进行的动作或所处的状态。

6.现在完成时
现在完成时表示一个动作开始于过去,持续到现在(也许还将持续下去)或过去发生或完成了的动作对现在造成的影响和结果,强调的是影响和结果。常与already, yet, ever, for ten minutes, since等连用。
