Voluntary work in an orphanage
Last Saturday, I did some voluntary work with the Volunteer Club. We went to the orphanage at our community.
There are many children without parents. We taught them to tell stories. This helped them express their feelings. We also taught them to sing because music could bring them joy and peace. In the end, we made Chinese knots together. They were in the shape of animals, flowers, or Chinese characters with a special meaning. We gave the knots to each other as gifts.
It was so meaningful to do voluntary work. I am quite happy to see smiles on their faces. All our members came togther and it made a difference. I can’t wait for the next activity.
