Step 1: Warm-up and Lead in
1. Enjoy reading the beginning of the story.
2. Lead in
T: Which book have you read?
Ss: Robinson Crusoe.
T: Can you read it for us?
(Ask students to read the story and explain the new words to them: name, ship, gun, mark)

T : What will happen to Robinson? And what would he do to be alive on the wild island? Let’s go on reading.
Read and answer the questions.

Finally, I became a slave (奴隶 ).Through the trip, I made lots of money. I love adventures(冒险 ). Soon, I began my second tour towards Africa.One day, I met a captain (船长) and he invited me to go to Africa with him.My father wanted me to live a normal life. However, I was strongly interested in the sea and dreamed to travel around the world by ship.I was born in the year 1632, in the city of York, of a good family.
