I.Analysis of the teaching material:
The teaching material is from Module 8 Accident, Book 8A, New Standard English.This module focuses on the topic of accident by telling stories. The previous reading material tells a story about an accident which happened to a cook named Henry by using past continuous with adverbial clauses. The whole story presents a clear sequence of events which is important in writing a story. The writing task is a short story about an accident based on clues.
II. Teaching objectives:
By the end of the class, students will be able to :
understand the factors and features of a story
use the correct tense (simple past and past continuous ) and adverbial clauses of time in a story
think creatively based on clues,logically by looking for the logical relationship between events and critically by looking at things from different sides
evaluate their own and peers’ writing with a checklist

Encourage the students to talk about the main factors of a story and features of the language by reading a short story. Think and talk about the main factors of a story and features of the language. To get ready for writing a story.
Writing
