What is 状语从句？
在复合句中充当状语的从句叫状语从句，按功能分为时间、地点、条件、原因、目的、结果、比较、方式、让步等。
状语从句位置灵活，可以放在主句前，也可以放在主句后。

一、时间状语从句
时间状语从句
是表示时间关系的从句。
1. 当当当：when(ever) / while / as
When I got home, my family were already having dinner.

1 when: 表示“当…”, 既可引导短暂性动作, 又可引导持续性动作。
“到家”和“学习”是可以持续的动作么？

as有几层含义？

*当主句表示短暂性动作，从句是正在进行的延续性动作时，when, as, while可以换用。

*whenever: “每当…”，描述经常发生的习惯性动作。
2. before / after
Judy’s parents worried a lot before she took up her career as a police officer.
He almost knocked me down before he saw me.
The sun came out soon after the storm stopped.
Let’s play football after the school is over.
before: 在…之前；还未…就…
after: 在…之后

ever since和since 表“自从”，可互换，ever起强调作用。

became和was有什么区别？

became 是“变成”，是一个瞬间动作；
