Activity 2 Learn about the formation and effects of tsunamis by exercises Based on their prediction, Teacher firstly invites students to finish exercises in Before you watch individually. Then Teacher invites students to spend 30 seconds reading the three statements in exercise one of While you watch. 【Justification】By finishing the exercise in Before you watch, students can learn about the formation and effects of tsunamis briefly and also get familiar with some difficult new words and expressions, like “tectonic plates” and “expand in all directions”. By reading the three statements before watching, students can get well prepared to know the formation and effects of tsunamis from the video and also they can follow the video more easily.
