　　 The documentary Born in China was shot in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It not only brings audiences the lives of animals that are seldom seen in the wild, like giant pandas and Tibetan antelopes (藏羚羊) and so on, but also shows traditional Chinese culture. The documentary mainly focuses on life and love within three animal families — giant pandas, golden monkeys and snow leopards (雪豹).
As a symbol of China, the giant panda is both black and white. Its body is thought to show yin and yang. The panda's gentle nature also shows how yin and yang lead to peace and harmony (和谐). This can be seen in the documentary when a giant panda mother guides her baby for independence and explore the world.
Monkeys always have strong personalities. The best example might be the Monkey King, a character from the popular novel Journey to the West. On the one hand, he stands for impatience. But on the other hand, he shows cleverness and energy. Born in China follows a 2-year-old golden monkey. He feels like his life has been changed worse after his new baby sister was born. 　　[2024湘潭中考改编] Recently, a study (研究), published in BMC Medicine, found that sitting in front of the TV for a long time is a risk for people's health.
After scientists used data (数据) on 370, 000 people, covering 12 years, they found about 9, 000 developed heart disease. They found people with genes (基因) of heart problems were more likely to develop heart disease. However, they found that people without such genes watching more than four hours of TV every day were also at the greatest risk of heart disease. People spending 2 to 3 hours a day watching TV had a 6% lower risk. And those who watched less than an hour had a 16% lower risk. The scientists of the research team finally found cutting TV watching time to less than an hour a day could prevent 10% of heart disease.
