教学目标
<知识储备> 学生能够熟练运用以下单词词汇: influence, absent, fail, examination, boarding, pride, proud have difficulties doing .../with ..., take care of, be absent from, fail one’s examinations, made the decision, find life difficult, even though, think of, take pride in, be proud of, a boarding school <学习理解> 通读文章,疏通文章逻辑,理解并能正确归纳文章大意; <概括和整合> 精读文章,细化文章结构层次,能清晰阐述主人公Li Wen的不同时期的变化; <内化> 通过对文章结构化的阐述,深度思考主人公出现问题的原因以及作者写作意图; <应用实践> 结合自身及社会,分析目前青少年在亲子关系中面临的问题并解决方法。 【设计意图】根据“词不离句,句不离篇”的学习规律,融词汇短语于教学当中,不仅提高学生的兴趣,也培养了他们在语境中猜测、理解新词含义的能力;另外,每一个模块逐层升入,不浮于表面,使学生在学习文章的同事,结合同作为同龄人的自身的家庭背景,了解在成长过程中需要面对的困难以及跟父母相处的方式,从而培养我们正确的人生观,世界观,价值观。
教学内容
教学重点: 1.理解文章内容; 2.牢记背熟练运用出现的短语;
教学难点: 1. 联系上下文猜测新单词的含义;
2. 理解Li Wen 在成长过程中的心路历程并结合实际生活进行阐述。 【设计意图】掌握最基本的词和短语的干货知识对接下来的阅读和写作都有很大的帮助,以理解文章的字面内容出发,通过问答的方式,引导学生进行进一步的思考,从而达到本节课的中心效果。
教学过程
Step 1: Lead in: 展示《父与子》的漫画截图,让学生理解其中漫画的含义; 【设计意图】从耳熟能详的漫画入手,提高学生上课的兴趣,带动他们回答问题的积极性,为后续的课程奠定良好的基础。 Step 2: Pre-reading 提问相关问题并让学生思考。Do you always have fun with you dad like that What do you often do when you are with your parents 展示2a的题目和文章的标题,让学生猜测文章的内容。 【设计意图】漫画带动学生兴趣后,趁热打铁,引导学生结合自身的家庭背景讨论自己的情况,引出本节课的标题,学生会主动将漫画与本文标题相结合,从而猜测本节课接下来的内容,完成导入的效果。 浏览文章并回答相应问题。 Who is Li Wen Can you guess what problems he might have Step 3: while-reading A.Fast reading 让学生快速阅读文章并匹配每段大意; 让学生将A-D的句子放入文章正确的位置并核对答案; 【设计意图】根据科学阅读方法,先让学生们快速浏览文章,了解大意,为接下来的细读做准备。 B.careful reading 1.Read the Para.1 and answer the question. Q:From Li Wen’s problems, what was his parents’ decision A:They decided to send him to a boarding school. Q:Was the situation getting better A:No. Because Li Wen was shy and was not able to make friends quickly in school. Q:What was his decision A:He thought life there is difficult. So he wanted to leave school. Q:After knowing Li Wen’s problems, what did his teacher and parents do A:His teacher worried about him. His teacher called his parents and advised them to talk with their son in person. His parents took a 24-hour train and a 5-hour bus ride to get to Li Wen's school. Read the Para.3 and explain what does the word “it” mean “It” refers to Li Wen’s parents’ had a long talk with him in person. 5.Read the last paragraph and list at least four points of what Li Wen has changed after communicating with their parents. ·became outgoing ·made some good friends ·joined the school basketball team ·became active ·was much happier ·worked even harder 6.Further thinking Q:What does LI Wen finally learn A:It is very important for parents to be there for their children. Write a conversation after thinking of the following points. · Possible questions Li Wen might ask his parents. · Questions his parents might ask Li Wen. · Possible answers from Li Wen and his parents. 【设计意图】 单词、词组以及本单元的语法练习,排查薄弱环节。最后的文章写对话部分,考核学生对于本单元的理解以及自己主观的想法。
