二、教学流程设计
Step I Leading in and presentation.
I will play a song which is sung by Jay Chou, who comes from Taiwan. Then I will ask students several questions: Is it beautiful? What is it called? Who is the singer? Are we familiar with him?
Then I will present students with three sentences which contain attributive clauses.
1. It is a beautiful song which is called Sweet.
2. The singer is Jay Chou who comes from Taiwan.
3. He is a singer with whom we are all familiar.
Then I will tell them what we will learn in this class---attributive clauses.
Next they are supposed to go over the three questions at first, then with the questions in mind, they go over the six sentences on learning guide paper.
1. What kind of clauses are they?
2. What is the fun_ction of each attributive clause in the sentence?
3. What words do we use to introduce attributive clauses?
(For the 1st and 2nd questions, the students may find it difficult to answer in English, so they are supposed to answer it either in English or in Chinese. For the 3rd question, students are expected to say relative pronouns: which, who and whose; relative adverbs where, when and why.)

Ask them to write them down on the learning guide paper.
设计意图:通过播放周杰伦的歌曲《甜甜的》,充分调动了学生的积极性,有效增强了学生的学习动机,同时通过问几个问题很自然的引出定语从句。然后再通过呈现6个含有定语从句的句子,再问学生几个问题,让学生感知、发现定语从句并初步理解关系代词和关系副词的功能,为进一步学习做准备。
Step II Discovery and discrimination.
I will give more sentences on PPT to allow students work in groups to pick out the sentences which contain the attributive clauses.
1. Wang Yu, who graduated from our school, was admitted into Tsinghua University.
2. When you feel tired you should think about the model and your learning method.
3. In fact, there is always a learning method which fits you.
4. Some students are used to getting up early and go to the classrooms where they can read loudly.
5. Some other students prefer to study in the late night when it is silent all around.

At first, I will give students about 3 mins to think them over by themselves. Then they are supposed to work in groups.
After that, I will ask 2-4 students to answer the questions. (The answer: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8)
Ask students to change several sentences into two parts if they have some questions.
(For the 8th one, students may find it difficult to answer. I will ask a question:
Why do we use of whom instead of other prepositions? If needed, I will explain it. )
设计意图:由于学生对我校今年考上清华大学的王宇同学非常熟悉,以熟悉的话题入手,拉近了题目与学生的距离,也给他们以积极向上的正能量。在多种复合句中找出含有定语从句的句子,能加深学生对定语从句的理解。同时,通过几个拆分练习,加深了学生对关系词的理解和掌握。
Step III A game
I will give some simple statements to let them guess what/who he/she/it is. Students who know the answer are supposed to stand up as quickly as they can. They are expected to say a whole sentence with an attributive clause.
1. She is a Chinese scientist. She has been awarded the Nobel Prize recently.
2. It is a country. President Xi Jinping is visiting it now.
3. He is a philosopher. His influence is the greatest in China.
4. It is a place. In this place you can apply for a credit card.
5. It is a time. All family members get together for a reunion.
A student and I firstly give a model:
T: She is a Chinese scientist. She has been awarded the Nobel Prize recently. Who is she?
S: Tu yoyo.
T: Good. So Tu Yoyo is a Chinese scientist...(encourage the student to say the whole sentence)
The answers with attributives:
1. Tu Youyou is a Chinese scientist who has been awarded the Nobel Prize recently.
2. The Great Britain is the country which Xi Jinping is visiting now.
3. Confucius is a thinker whose influence is the greatest in China.
4. The bank is a place where you can apply for a credit card.
5. The Spring Festival is a time when all family members get together for a reunion.
设计意图:猜谜语的游戏能够充分调动学生的积极性,增加学生的学习动机。学生通过把两个简单句连接成含有定语从句的复合句,进一步加深了对定语从句的理解,并在口头上进行初步应用。
Step IV Consolidation
Task 1:Complete the following questions.
I will present students with more questions. They should complete them individually for about 5 mins. Then check the answers together. The teacher will give an explanation if necessary. If they cannot do them well, I will give them extra exercise to continue exercise.

设计意图:前面的猜谜语游戏是在口头上巩固定语从句,通过及时操练这些题目,力求使学生在笔头上有效巩固有关定语从句的知识,旨在有层次、有梯度的培养学生应用语法的能力。
Step V Situational use
I will offer them three pictures: Li Ning, an antelope, Taierzhuang Ancient Town.
First they can talk about them in groups and say 2 or 3 sentences to describe each picture. There must be at least one sentence with attributive clause. Then they are expected to share them with others.
First I will give a model.
Li Ning, who used to be a sportsman, is a successful businessman now.
Li Ning, who is a successful businessman, was chosen to hold the torch in the opening ceremony of Beijing Olympic Games.
设计意图:展现刚学过的知识和自己家乡的旅游景点,学生有亲切感,也有更多的话题。通过小组讨论,实现了信息的共享。在实际情景中,学生用带有定语从句的句子描述人、动物和一个地方,真正做到能说出定语从句。
Step VI Homework
必做:Write three short passages which is about Li Ning, an antelope, Taierzhuang Ancient Town. Students are required to write 3-5 sentences of which contain sentences with attributive clauses. They can send me Emails to me: cuibaolin880807@163.com, or they also can hand me their work. I will correct the passages face to face.
选做:Find some proverbs which contain attributive clauses online and remember them in mind.
设计意图:在上一环节中,学生口头说出了含有定语从句的句子。由于时间关系,所有学生不可能都得到展示。为了让更多的学生学会使用定语从句,也为了避免学生“眼高手低”的坏习惯,特设置此作业。通过老师的批改和反馈,学生能够加深对定语从句的理解和应用。
设计说明
本堂课为语法课,主要是复习定语从句。
本节课学习目标主要分为知识目标和能力目标。知识目标主要是能理解和分辨带有定语从句的句子,能够让学生知道关系代词和关系副词的作用和功能,通过大量有梯度、有层次的练习,最后达到会应用的目的。
在设计问题时,题目难度循序渐进,由易到难,先口头,后笔头,遵循了语言学习的感知,理解,巩固到应用的规律。同时在设计问题时,注重知识的复现,大量运用了之前学过的知识。此外,出现的句子既有与时事相关的,也有自己身边的人物相关的,既“接地气”又注意培养学生的时事意识,给学生以前行的正能量。
活动设计方面,设计了一个猜谜语的游戏,旨在提高学生学习的积极性和参与度,让学生在轻松有趣的猜谜活动中逐步掌握定语从句的用法。
学语法最终的目的是应用,要避免为了学语法而学语法的现象,最终要使用语法生成句子和话语,去描述一些人,一些事物和一些地方。鉴于此,在输出型活动中,我给了学生三幅图片,让学生充分利用自己对他们的理解说出几个定语从句的句子。作业是把说的内容落实到纸上,既有口头又有笔头,真正达到运用定语从句的目的。
