Teaching procedures
Step1 Lead in (5 minutes)
Try to get the students to revise the comparative degree according to the different pictures. Teacher asks and the whole class answer the questions or work in pairs.
Step2 Activities (10 minutes)
1. Get the students discuss each other (4 students as one group), and then talk about the differences between Nanning and Guilin. After discussing, choose the students to answer the questions one by one.
2. Ask one student to come to the blackboard to say something about the differences between Nanning and Guilin and draw a conclusion about it.
Step3 Writing ( 20 minutes)
1.Make the students connect two sentences with the linking words and make the sentences with comparative degree.
2. Organize the students to write a composition.(work in groups)
3. Choose one or two students to show their works before class. Then make the other students check the composition and talk about the advantages and the disadvantages of the composition.
Step 4 Draw a conclusion (5 minutes)
Step5 Homework
Have the students write a composition about the changes in our hometown, get them to use the comparative degree.

According to the students, adjust different parts of the materials and use the teaching method flexibly.
