作文(一):
Last week our school held a “Psychological Health Week” campaign on our campus, with the theme “how to relieve mental pressure.” The aim of the campaign is to help the Senior students deal with the great pressure due to the fierce competition in study.
There were various kinds of activities. A lecture given by a psychological professor on what to do with the pressure, provided students with professional guidance. There was also an excellent drama performance. Additionally, some fun games were played among the students.
The activities were warmly welcomed and enjoyed by students as well as teachers. Most students think the campaign is beneficial for them to relieve pressure and could help them to study more efficiently.
作文(二):
I picked up another letter and read it, “Son, I’m really proud of you every day, every minute, and every second.” It began as my glasses were fogged up. After I read all the letters, tears rushed out of my eyes. I was touched by my dad’s deep love for me and felt so regretful about not valuing it! Before long, I packed my things and went to the airport to meet my dad after so many years. “Will he be happy to see me How will I face him ” I wondered.
Finally, I arrived at my dad’s house and saw him sitting alone in the yard. He looked up and rose in surprise and delight as my shadow was cast upon him from behind, He hugged me and cried before I could even greet him, “I've been waiting for your coming every single day, son !” he wept on my shoulder, I quit the job in California and lived with my dad. I realized money isn’t everything. It cannot buy things as precious as love and family.

You may have already seen them in some restaurants around the world: robots. They are about the size of a child. They can welcome people and lead them to their tables. They can deliver food and drinks and bring dirty dishes back to the kitchen.
Many people think robot waiters are the answer to worker shortages. Sales of robots have been growing in recent years. There are tens of thousands of them now moving through eating places worldwide.
But others say robot waiters still have a long way to go before they can replace humans. They cannot take orders. And they cannot walk up steps to different areas of a restaurant.
Still the use of robots is growing. In Madison Heights, Michigan, Li Zhai was having trouble finding workers for his restaurant Noodle Topia in the summer of 2021. So, he bought a robot from Pudu Robotics. The robot was so successful that he added two more; now, one robot leads diners to their seats while another delivers food to tables. And his employees load dirty dishes onto the third robot to bring them back to the kitchen.
Zhai said he now needs three people to do the same work that five or six people used to do. And they save him money. A robot costs around $15,000, he said, but a person costs him $5,000 to $6,000 per month. Zhai noted that the robots give his human servers more time to spend with diners, which increases tips. And diners often post videos of the robots on social media, which leads to more visits. “Besides saving labor, the robots benefit business,” he said.
But not all restaurants have had success with robots. Chili’s introduced a robot server in 2020. The restaurant company expanded the test to 61 U.S. restaurants before suddenly stopping last August. Chili’s found that the robot moved too slowly and got in the way of human servers. And 58 percent of guests surveyed said robots did not improve their overall experience.
24.What is Li Zhai’s third robot used to do
A. Lead diners to their seats. B. Deliver food to tables.
C. Take orders from customers. D. Carry away dirty dishes.
25. What do Li Zhai’s words mainly tell us in Paragraph 5
A. The popularity of robots. B. The low prices of robots.
C. The advantages of using robots. D. The impression of robots on people.
26. Why did Chili’s give up robot servers
A. They broke down easily.
B. They didn’t work well enough.
C. They often made big mistakes.
D. They couldn’t understand customers’ demand.
27. Which of the following can be the best title for the text
A. Are Robot Waiters the Future
B. Will Human Servers Lose Jobs
C. Robots Will Never Replace Humans
D. Robot Services Are Better Than Humans
C
People have understood that kindness is good for the person who receives help. For example, when we give food to a hungry person, he is blessed. However, scientists have recently begun to study the effect kindness has on the person giving it. What they have found is that doing good is good for the doer. Acts of kindness can improve health, help a person reach goals and even add years to a person's life.
The first study to show the connection between doing good and living a long life was a study on aging. Beginning in 1956, scientists studied a group of married mothers for 30 years. They thought the women with the most children would die first. But the number of children a woman had did not matter. Wealth did not matter. Education did not matter. What did matter was whether they volunteered. Women that volunteered had fewer diseases during their life.
Many other studies have found the same positive effects. Helping other people improves long-term health. The gains are the same for the men, women, old people and the young. Those who volunteered had fewer serious diseases than those who did not volunteer. This included diseases such as heart attack, cancer and stroke.
Scientists are researching many possible causes. One possible cause is an increase in antibodies (抗体), which help fight against disease. One study showed the body produces more antibodies after an act of kindness. This increase in antibodies can last nearly an hour after one act of kindness is finished.
Another one is an increase in chemical that fights the effects of stress from life. Scientists have found a link between being kind to people and an increase in the chemical oxytocin (催产素). Oxytocin is a chemical produced in the brain. It reduces many of the harmful chemicals the body produces under stress.
28. What did the study in paragraph 2 show
A. Diseases age people fast. B. Doing good is good for one’s health.
C. Women with more kids die earlier. D. A long marriage leads to a long life.
29. What can we infer about antibodies from paragraph 4
A. More antibodies may not be good. B. They help people reduce pressure.
C. They increase with one’s kind acts. D. The more antibodies, the more oxytocin.
30. How does the author develop the last two paragraphs
A. By explaining the causes. B. By making comparisons.
C. By introducing a method. D. By describing a chemical.
31. What does the underlined word “it” probably refers to
A. Oxytocin. B. The brain. C. Stress. D. Helping others.

Recently, campaigners have encouraged us to buy local food. This reduces “food miles”, that is, the distance food travels from the producer to the shop owner. They reason that the higher the food miles, the more carbon mission(排放物).
However, the real story is not as simple as that. In fact, imported food often has a lower carbon footprint than locally grown good. Take apples, for example. The local apples the British buy in winter or spring have been kept refrigerated for months, and this uses a lot of energy. In spring, therefore, it is more energy-saving to import them from New Zealand, where they are in season. Heating also uses a lot of energy, which is why growing tomatoes in heated greenhouses in the UK is less environmentally friendly than importing them from Spain, where the crop grows well in the local climate.
We must also take into account the type of transport. Transporting food by air creates more emissions. However, only a few goods are flown to the consumer country, and these are usually high-value, short-lived items which we cannot produce locally. Even then, these foods may not have a higher carbon footprint than locally grown food. For example, beans flown in from Kenya are grown in sunny fields using natural fertilizers, unlike in Britain, where we use oil-based fertilizers and machinery.
Also, a product’s journey does not end at the supermarket. Driving a long way to shop for food will neutralize(抵消) any environmental benefits of buying locally grown produce. Furthermore, choosing local over imported food can also badly affect people in developing countries. If they are unable to sell produce overseas, they will have less income.
Recently, some supermarkets have been trying to raise awareness of food miles by labeling foods to show they have been imported by air. But the message this gives is too simple. Lots of different factors contribute to a food’s carbon footprint. And. even if we only buy local food which is currently in season, there are ethical(伦理的) problems. What’s more, our diets would be more limited.
32.Why should the British buy imported apples according to the author
A.It reduces food miles. B.It benefits the local farmers.
C.It is less energy-consuming. D.It is less costly and more convenient.
33.What can we infer about the foods transported by air
A.They are grown using oil-based fertilizers.
B.They can be mass-produced locally.
C.They have a low carbon footprint.
D.They fail to have a long shelf life.
34.What does the author think of labeling foods
A.It does not give correct product information.
B.It does not tell a full and accurate story.
C.It will raise environmental awareness.
D.It will help people to shop ethically.
35.What is the purpose of this text
A.To solve a problem. B.To make a prediction.
C.To argue against a belief. D.To give practical advice.
第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分)
根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
Teamwork is a group of people working together efficiently towards a common goal. Being a master of one or a jack-of-all-trades in today’s world does not bring about success if you are unable to work as part of a team. 36 So teamwork is important.
Teamwork benefits from different opinions. A team environment allows people to bring their diverse opinions on problem solving, which in turn increases their success in arriving at solutions. If you feel a sense of safe connection with your teammates, you will be more likely to confidently share your opinions without fear of judgment. 37
Teamwork can improve efficiency. One person working on a project is always going to take longer to complete it. Efficiency rules when work is appropriately (适度地) divided within a team, responsibilities are shared. 38 Good teamwork also increases group results.
39 People have their own skills and strengths. When the whole team works as a unit, everyone has a chance to gain new knowledge and skills from each other. This process leads to resource building and lets the team become better equipped to deal with new challenges.
Teamwork brings a bigger sense of achievement. When a team works on a project as one unit, the sense of achievement the members experience goes beyond personal achievements. 40 This is another reason why developing teamwork is worth everyone’s effort.
A. Teamwork leads to learning.
B. Now, most of our work includes communicating with others.
C. Teamwork can be effective in building great work relationships.
D. And tasks are more likely to be finished within a set time period.
E. The psychological(心理的) safety in teams results in more creativity.
F. Team members encourage and support each other to improve work quality.

My dad was a cleaner in my school. When I was 12, I decided to study hard to have a life different from his.
One day when Dad asked me to play basketball with him, I just replied, “I’m busy. I want to study well so that I can become a rich man. I don’t want to be a cleaner like you, Dad!” He was shocked (震惊的), but I didn’t care and continued studying hard. Finally, I graduated from high school with honors, and decided it was time to break free from my dad and follow my dreams.
“Dad, I got a scholarship to a law school in California,” I told him. “I’ll leave in 3 days.” My dad was surprised but proud of me. As I left for the airport 3 days later, he said, “Son, wherever you go, welcome back home.” I ignored his words and flew to California.
After I graduated, I found a great job there. Later, I was made manager and earned much money. I no longer remembered my father was a cleaner. I had forgotten my dad, who was still cleaning my school. I seldom answered his calls or wrote back to him. I was busy; I still had a lot more to achieve.
With time, the more success I tasted, somehow, the lonelier I became. I felt especially lonely on my 31st birthday. I kept checking my phone, hoping someone wished me a happy birthday. But there wasn’t a single call or message. Later that evening when I returned home from my office, something in my mailbox drew my attention.
“A letter ” I whispered and saw it was from my father. He never forgot to mail me a letter on my each birthday. However, I never took the trouble to read it. “How did I ignore him ” I thought. I brought the letter home and took out his earlier letters. And I opened one. It read, “Wherever you are, I love you to the last drop of my blood. I wish you a happy life.”
