Unit 1 It allows people to get closer to them
Analysis of the Teaching Material Module 6 Unit 1 in New Standard English 8A is about the environment that is destroyed by people ,many animals are in danger. The title is protecting animals especially the rare animals pandas. The basic grammar is infinitive structures .By this lesson Ss can take part in the activities to protect the animals and give some good advice.
Design ideas In the course of teaching, according to the goal of independent and efficient classroom, we should carry out the principle of "people-oriented", fully respect the students and give full play to the students' main position. The teacher's role is transformed from the transfer of knowledge to the promoter, organizer, and guide of the student's study. Design activities according to the interests of the students.

The Teaching Methods and Studying ways 1. According to the characteristics of this textbook and the innocence and goodness of junior middle school students, and the characteristics of their active thinking, I mainly use the multimedia video watching, understanding and cognitive teaching methods. 2. Using multimedia to introduce, practice and summarize the teaching method to develop the students' ability to use knowledge.
Teaching process
Warm-up Teacher activity Introduce the title. Divide the Ss into two groups. Listen to a song , Earth Song by Michael Jackson.T: After watching, I have a little sad What’s wrong with our earth People cut down trees and kill animals.T: What should we do T: Our earth is in danger.We should protect them.

Step4Activity3 Teacher activity Listen and readFirst ask them to listen to the conversation betweenLingling and Betty carefully with their books closed. 2.And then read the conversation in activity3.and then ask some pairs to act out the conversation. 3.Ask students to find out the infinitive structures in the conversation and read them together. 4.Ask students complete the table individually ,Call back the answers from the whole class.

人或事物本身具有趣味。interested主语通常是人,
常见的词组: be interested in sth.(对……感兴趣)。

2. allow
allow 允许; 许可, 具体用法: allow sb to do sth 允许某人做某事。如: My parents don’t allow me to go out at night. 我父母不允许我晚上出去。 Her boss doesn’t allow her to use the telephone. 她的老板不允许她使用电话。3. It’s sad to think of pandas and other animals in danger. think of 想到,想出 e.g. What do you think of the zoo 4. …because villages and farms are growing bigger and are taking away their land and forests. take away 表示“夺去,拿走”。代词要放在中间。e.g. Please take away your things.T: Prepare a PK

Step6 GrammarInfinitivestructures Teacher activity 1. 动词不定式做宾语补足语。动词不定式作宾语补足语,是对宾语的补充说明。常见的动词有:want, tell, would like, choose, allow, ask, invite, help等。注意:(1)以上动词后接不定式做宾语补足语时,若要表达否定意思,要在to do前面加not,构成not to do的形式。e.g. Mr. Han told us not to make too much noise.(2)有些动词后接不定式做宾语补足语时,可以接不带to的不定式,常见的这类动词有:help, make, let, have, hear, feel, see等。e.g. His words made everyone laugh.2. 动词不定式作目的状语。如果表示“做某事是为了什么”,可以用动词不定式表示目的,作目的状语。e.g. Dylan trained hard to improve his basketball skills.3.. … have a safe place to live… 表示“有安全的居住地”。 to live放在名词place的后面做定语。T: Prepare a PK
