My favorite festival is the Tomb-Sweeping Day. It’s one of the traditional Chinese festivals and it is at the beginning of every April.
In April, the weather becomes warmer and flowers and trees begin to show their colors. People have an outing with their family on this day to enjoy the beauty of the nature. They usually bring a kind of food called Qingtuan — green colored balls. How delicious they are!
During the festival, people also go to sweep tombs and pay respect to the dead. They bring flowers with them and place them next to the tomb.
It’s my favorite festival because it gives me a chance to commemorate my relatives who have passed away. It’s also a time for me to enjoy the beautiful spring weather and get closer to the nature.
