It was Saturday evening. Mr and Mrs Phillips and their children, Roger and Helen, were playing cards in the living room. Suddenly the telephone rang. “That is your aunt. She is back from Greenland to see us tomorrow. And she’s got a surprise for you, kids.”

“I don’t know,” said their dad. “She says that it’s a secret.”
The next morning the doorbell rang. Aunt Elizabeth came with a big box. She opened the box very carefully. It was full of pieces of ice. The animal opened its beak. Helen gave some food to the animal. It was so hungry that it ate a lot. So it grew very fast.
“Roger thinks it’s a bird, but I don’t think so. It still hasn’t got any feathers,” said Helen.
“Aunt Elizabeth is away on another trip. She isn’t coming back for a few weeks,” said Mum.

Dad went to his computer. He knew the animal was a pterodactyl, a type of dinosaur.

It was Saturday evening. Mr and Mrs Phillips and their children, Roger and Helen, were playing cards in the living room. Suddenly the telephone rang. “That is your aunt. She is back from Greenland to see us tomorrow. And she’s got a surprise for you, kids.”
