以辅音字母加y结尾，改y为i加-er -est 。
5. slowly , useful , delicious，beautiful
大多数多音节词和部分双音节是在原级前加more和most。

二、不规则变化
形容词、副词的最高级用于三个或三个以上的人或事物之间的比较，常用of/in短语来说明比较的范围。
形容词最高级前要加定冠词the，副词最高级前的the可省略。

1.如果其前有形容词性物主代词或名词所有格等修饰语时, 则不再用定冠词the。

2.比较范围用短语（介词in或of短语）或从句。一般情况下, 如果主语与介词短语中的名词属于同一类, 用介词of; 如果不是同一类, 则用介词in。
如：Tina is the most outgoing in her family.

最高级的常用句型
1.“主语+ be+ the+形容词最高级+in/of 短语”意为“……是……中最……的”。
My mother is the busiest one in my family.
The Yangtze River is the longest river in China.
2.“主语+实义动词（+the）+副词最高级+in/of 短语”意为“……是……中最……的”。

4.主语 + be + one of + the + 最高级 + 复数名词 + 表示范围的短语，表示 “最……之一”

表示“....是...中...第几”。

最高级的疑问句型
1.特殊疑问词 + be + the + 最高级，A, B, or C
表示三个或三个以上的人或事物中“哪一个最……”。

2.“疑问词+助动词+主语+动词原形（+the)+副词最高级，甲、乙or丙？”

注意
最高级的意义有时可以用比较级表示出来。
例如：
This car runs (the) fastest of all the cars.
= This car runs faster than the other cars.
