第五课时
教学目标：
1. 学会两组反义词：big， small， long，short。
2. 会用所学形容词简单的描述一些常见动物的基本特征。
教学重点：
能听、说、认读形容词big、small、long、short。
教学难点：
会用所学形容词简单的描述一些常见动物的基本特征。
教学方法： 情景教学法
课时安排： 1课时
教学过程：
一、Warming-up
1. 唱英文歌曲。
2. 复习动物单词，教师出示动物卡片，要求学生分组认读，进行认读单词比赛。
3. 说关于动物的句子，自由说。
二、Presentation and practice
1. 出示形容词big、small的单词卡片利用手势和动作教这两个形容词，待学生练习几遍，初步掌握时，可出示大象的图片，对学生说：“Look at the elephant. It’s so big.”再出示老鼠的单词卡片，对学生说：“Look at the mouse. It’s small.”
2. Show the pictures and words.
3. 出示形容词long、short的单词卡片，通过直尺或铅笔来教这两个形容词，练习几遍后，教师可对学生说：“ Look at the ruler, It’s so long, look at the ruler, It’s so short.”让学生用长短不同的两支铅笔进行仿照练习。加深对形容词的掌握。
4. 出示单词卡片，复习long 、short 、big 、small,通过实物、动作复习这四个容
词，达到熟练。
5. Practice
（1）利用幻灯片的动物图片，让学生仿照课文描述其特征。
（2） 拿一个小猪的面具，请一名学生到台前扮演小猪，并自我介绍：I am a pig. I have big ears and small eyes.
（3） 每组学生拿着一个动物图片在组内进行特征介绍，然后每组一名代表，在全班表演。
6. Let’s do it
两人一组，一个人用本节课所学词汇描述，另一个人根据描述画出图形。7. Letters and sounds
（1）阅读第四部分中的单词，注意红色字母的发音。
（2） 总结字母组合“oo”以及字母 “c”的发音规律。
