Hello, everyone!
I'd like to share a good habit that has greatly benefited my English learning with you.
It' s the habit of setting specific and achievable goals for each study session. By breaking down my learning
tasks and setting clear objectives, I can better focus and manage my time effectively. This habit has not only
improved my productivity but also boosted my confidence as I can see myself making progress step by step.
Moreover, it has helped me stay motivated and organized, leading to better academic performance.
I encourage you to give it a try and experience the positive impact it can have on your studies.
Thank you!
第二节 读后续写
One possible version:
Just at that moment,Luella’s family returned in their car.As they stepped out, greeted by the sight of the garden
in ruins, obvious disbelief and sorrow overwhelmed them.Luella dragged her feet slowly torwards the dying
tulips, knelt down and petted them gently, tears rolling down her cheeks.Instantly,a pang of sympathy tugged at my
heart.Encouraged by my parents,I approached Luella, hugged her tightly and whispered,“Don’t worry. We are here
to help.”The tearful girl nodded in gratitude. The next hours witnessed all of us shedding sweat for the
clean-up.Soon we managed to restore the order of the garden. In the end,we all felt a bit relieved except Luella.
Even after the debris was cleaned,I could still sense Luella’s sorrow for her lost garden.I was wondering what
we could do to cheer her up when an idea flashed through my mind.I proposed rebuilding the garden, which was
approved of by the people present.Immediately, the reconstruction kicked off.Over the following months,we
nurtured the tulips with great care, watching them grow and blossom. As time went by,I returned to my cheerful
self and we became inseparable friends.Meanwhile, the garden was transformed into a paradise of natural
beauty----rows upon rows of elegant tulips swayed gently in the breeze, injecting vigor and vitality into the
garden,symbolizing our friendship.

Children find comfort and connection playing with dolls that look like them, but until recently, finding diversity when shopping for them has been difficult. Children whose rare medical conditions have made their appearance different from others' have little hope of finding their likeness at a toy store or even online.
Knowing how important the connection could be for a child gave Pacheco an idea. She decided she would design and make special dolls to donate to children with special medical conditions.
To find the kids she hoped to create special dolls for, she cooperated with Fresh Start Surgical Gifts in California, a charitable organization that provides medical treatment to children who need it for free. Then Pacheco was sent pictures and profiles(简介) for a number of disabled children. She finally chose four.
Before getting started , Pacheco searched YouTube for doll- making classes, and learned about those children's favorite hobbies and preferred colors. Her goal was to make sure the kids could see themselves in her creations, but she didn't want the things that make them different from other children to be the dolls' most obvious feature.
Michelle Pius, Fresh Start's chief development officer was impressed by the final product.“ Pacheco was trying to put as much love into it as she could. It was a very kind and big- hearted gesture for her to make dolls that will help a child feel like they' re not alone. And these toys represented each child faithfully,” he said.
Pacheco said, “I really value the beauty in the little things. Each of these kids is so unique, so special... I hope through these dolls they can see themselves in a new light and really love their beauty.”

Have you watched the popular TV series Meet Yourself In the TV series, the heroine Xu Hongdou travels to a village in Yunnan province and volunteers at a local cafe. She gets free meals in return. As the show finds a growing audience, volunteer travel--- an old- yet- modern form of travel similar to Xu's type of work--- has attracted more attention.
These volunteer trips are usually arranged by church organizations, human interest groups or nonprofit organizations, and they take form of equal exchanges. During the trip, volunteer travelers often provide services like teaching, cooking, animal caring, and cultural activities. In exchange for their help, the volunteers may get free or discounted accommodations, meals and laundry activities, or classes.
It seems as if these long journeys could only be made possible in recent years by modern transportation. Nevertheless, volunteer travel dates back to the 1960s, when Ale c Dickson and his wife Mora from the UK founded Volunteer Service Overseas(VSO), an international volunteer organization.
Traditionally, the volunteer activities take place in a foreign country. However, just as what Meet Yourself describes, more volunteer trips have taken place within the same countries or regions the volunteers live in recently. Sanlian Life week magazine commented that volunteer projects in rural areas are now attracting more urban visitors as a break from the fast and stressful pace of urban living. Yang Yan, a founder of a volunteer platform, told the magazine that it has indeed been a growing trend for urban residents to volunteer in rural areas.
People try volunteer travel for several reasons. By working voluntarily while traveling, travelers may make a real, positive impact on the world. The services volunteers provide can be through charities with lower costs for the communities they serve. Another benefit of volunteer travel is that it helps urban residents to get a taste of rural life. For those who are sick of urban pressure but can't make up their minds whether to move permanently to the countryside, volunteer travel can be a solution.

Cows love having an open area of grassland. But in some parts of the world, this is only feasible during the summer. In the winter months, it can become too cold for cows to safely stay outside, so they are kept in a large farm building for warmth. Being kept inside is not always enjoyable for the cows, and their unhappiness is closely connected to less milk production.
For this reason, some cow owners have fitted their cows with VR headsets that run a program specially. The program simulates(模拟) grassland in summer and was designed for the way that cows get color and light. According to the National Library of Medicine, cows see red most easily but have a hard time telling the difference between blue and green.
Reports from a farm in Moscow, Russia—— where the VR headsets were first developed by vets— found in 2019 that the cows that used the VR headsets saw a decrease in anxiety and an improved mood. This led to an increase in milk production, which went from 5.8 gallons to 7 gallons a day.
The cow owner Izzet Kocak from Aksaray, Turkey, heard about this experiment and tried the VR headsets on his cows in December 2021. When Kocak put the headsets on his cows, he found an improvement in the moods of his animals.“ They are watching an area of grassland, and it helps lift their spirits. They are less stressed,” he said.
The technology is now being used around the world. According to the BBC, the headsets were made specifically for the“ structural features of cow heads” by vets, and the animals were shown a“ unique summer field simulation program”. The familiar sight of an area of grassland is enough to improve the mood of the animals
Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation says that research has shown a connection between a cow's mood and its milk production. They said,“ Examples of dairy farms from different countries show that in a calm atmosphere, the amount of milk increases greatly.”

When I was seven years old, my family moved from Mexico to America. In Mexico, I was a cheerful girl who loved making people laugh with my jokes and inventing funny games to play with my friends. However, when I arrived in America, I found it hard to fit in, and I became quieter.
We lived in a small house with a modest yard where we grew vegetables--- my responsibility. While I took pride in watching them grow, there were times when I dreamed of having a beautiful garden like my schoolmate Luella's, with its delicate tulips ( 郁金香). Although Luella lived in the same neighborhood as me, we barely knew each other. It was after a tornado that everything changed.
The tornado struck on a Sunday afternoon. The gentle breeze transformed into a strong wind, and thick gray clouds filled the sky. Gradually, the tornado took shape, starting as a thin rope and growing into a large black funnel( 漏斗). My entire family gathered in the bathroom, seeking shelter from the storm. Terrified, I sat close to my mom, knees in my chest. After the storm had passed , our worries and fears were replaced by relief that we were unharmed and that our house had remained undamaged.
As I stepped outside , I witnessed the extent of the damage the tornado had caused to our neighborhood. Across the street, a tall tree had fallen, crushing Luella's garden in front of her yellow house. We hurried over to check on it. Fortunately, her family seemed to be away at the time , and no one was injured. However, her once- beautiful garden was in ruins, with the fallen tree destroying the tulips and debris ( 碎片) spread everywhere. I could only imagine how heartbroken they must feel seeing this.
Then my mom's usual words rang in my ear,“ It is more blessed to give than to receive,” and my family started to think about how we could help.
注意:续写词数应为 150 左右。
Paragraph1:
Just at that moment, Luella's family returned in their car.
Paragraph2:
Even after the debris was cleared, I could still sense Luella's sorrow for her lost garden.
