There’s是There is的缩略形式,意思是“有”。 句型“There be(is/are)+某人/某物+地点.” 表示“某处有某人/某物”。There是引导词,没有实际意义。be动词的形式根据后面所接的人或物的数而发生变化,即There is后面接的名词可以是可数名词的单数形式,也可以是不可数名词;There are 后面必须接可数名词的复数形式。 【注意】there be句型的就近原则: there be句型中的 be 动词应与其后的名词在数上保持一致。 如果be 动词后面接两个我两个以上的名词,be动词的形式 要与邻近它的名词在数上保持一致,这就是就近原则。 e.g. There is a cat and some flowers on the table. There are some flowers and a cat on the table. 【辨析】 there be 与 have 都有“有”的意思,但是它们的会义却不完全相同。 There be 表示“某处有某人/某物”强调客观存在。e.g. There are five pencils on the desk. have 表示“某人拥有某物”,强调所属关系。 e.g. I have a book. Are there any Chinatowns in China There be句型的一般疑问句就是将be动词提到句首,且首字母改为大写,句中如果有some要变成any,句末用问号。 其肯定语为:Yes, there is/are. 否定答语为:No, there isn’t/aren’t. e.g. —Are there any bridges over the river —Yes, there are. You do miss China! 该句中的“do”是一个助动词表强调,用于加强句子的 语气,表示思念的程度很强烈无实际含义。 e.g. I do like monkeys. 【拓展】do的用法小结: e.g. Do you like music I don’t know his name. I do love monkeys.
