Review the ways to keep healthy and know how to write the composition health.
Ability goals
1.Students can use mind map to conclude the ways to keep healthy.
2.Students can find out others health problems and give proper advice to others.
3.Students can know the importance of health.
Emotional attitudes
Work in pairs or groups to work out the advice on how to lead a healthy life. It can improve the students’ teamwork and make them learn to cooperate with each other better.
Make the students think about their own living habits. Raise their awareness of keeping healthy.
Teaching Procedures
Steps activities purpose
Before class: Talk about the learning goals. Students are able to know what we are going to learn today.
Step I: Lead-in Talk about the pictures about some medical workers and Shanghai. Make the students know the hard time we are now experiencing and know the importance of health.
StepⅡ: Review Discuss how to keep healthy from four parts. Students are able to know exactly how to keep ourselves healthy.
Step Ⅲ: Give advice Students try to give advice to Amy and Henry by using the proper expressions. Ss can not only know how to keep healthy, but also help others by giving advice.
Step IV: Writing Pre-writing: Analysis the writing skills. Discuss some important points. While-Writing: Students write the composition by themselves. After-writing: Check the composition by themselves , then exchange their composition and then check. Ss are able to cooperate well with team members and work out the advice on how to lead a healthy life; Ss are able to clearly know how to keep healthy in the future and learn to relax when they feel stressed.
Step V: Conclusion Conclude the topic. Make the students know if they have the similar problems as what we have learnt today, they can find some help here.
StepVI Make a summary today. Make the students know what we have learned today.
Step VII Homework Ask the students to rewrite the composition. Make a list of other ways to keep you healthy and strong. Review what we have learned today .
