第一节(满分 15分)
One possible version:
Beautiful Motherland in My Picture
In the photography competition themed “Beautiful Motherland”, my entry won
the first prize!
I submitted a photo of a vast golden wheat field under the setting sun. The
gentle breeze made the wheat waves ripple, and the warm glow of the setting sun
painted the entire field with a layer of golden light. This scene reminded me of the
hardworking farmers and their bountiful harvest.
I am extremely thrilled and honored to have won the award. This contest has
not only allowed me to show the beauty of our motherland but also made me
appreciate the charm of nature and the efforts of our people. It has inspired me to
keep observing and recording the wonderful moments of our country with my
camera.
第二节(满分 25分)
I couldn’t believe my ears! I’d heard of random acts of kindness, but those type
of things happened to other people, never to us. I couldn't imagine that this wonderful,
generous woman was sending all six of us to Disneyland! With deep gratitude filling
my heart and tears of joy spilling down my face, I hugged Patty tightly, exchanged
1
personal information, and took a picture with her. As we said goodbye to each other, I
felt Patty was no longer a stranger but forever a part of our family.
I gathered my family and we hurried into Disneyland excitedly. I had expected
we wouldn't have enough time to do much. After all, anyone who has visited
Disneyland knows how long the lines are. However, because of the smoke in the air
from the fires, Disneyland looked like an empty town. There were no lines at the most
popular rides, and the children enjoyed riding them over and over without waiting.
Our family had had the best day ever. We will never forget the miracle given to us by
Patty, who would be called, in Disney terms, our fairy.

W: I’m going to the movies later, but I don’t have any money for snacks. Is there
anything I can do to earn some extra cash

W: Perfect. Thanks, Dad! I’ll do it right now. (4)

M: Did you find your phone eventually
W: Yes, luckily. Turns out, it had fallen out of my pocket while I was driving and
slid down the side of the driver’s seat. (5) Before that, I had turned my desk
upside down looking for it!
Text 6
W: So, how’s city life
M: It’s…different. I miss green spaces. I mean, the place where I was born and
raised was just a small town. (6) If you drove in any direction, you could be in
the open countryside within 20 minutes.
W: Yeah, I understand. Have you made any new friends
M: A few. The people at work are nice. Plus, I’ve just signed up for a singing club.
(7)I’m not a very good singer, but I’m hoping to make some connections there.
(7)
W: Great! Singing is great for reducing stress, too!
Text 7
W: Morning, Kevin!
M: Hi, Jane. I thought you must be driving to the office today. (8)
W: No. I got up early and walked here to wait for the bus. (8) All part of my New
Year’s plan is to get fit! (9) I see you’ve already broken yours, though. You’re on

M: It’s a way of delivering new topics in tiny, “bite-sized” pieces. This app has a huge
library of short articles on everything from physics to self-improvement. Right

Text 8
W: Cookies (11)
M: Sure! Thanks. Did you make them (11)
W: No! Dad’s the one who loves cooking. (11)I’m more into 3D printing. Look, I
bought this last Christmas. (12) It wasn’t cheap! I had to put all my birthday
money towards it. But it was worth it.
M: Wow! Is this a 3D printer (12) How does it work, exactly
W: Yes. (12) Basically, you create or download a design onto your computer. Then,
the printer builds up a 3D model based on the instructions.
M:What kinds of things do you make (13)
W: Mostly stuff for the house. My first project was a pencil holder for my sister.
(13) Then, I moved onto plant containers. Mom’s an indoor gardener! Currently,

M: Cool! Can I have a look
W: Sure! Come on up!
Text 9
W: I’m heading to London next month. (15)
5
M: My home city… How exciting!
W: I was hoping for some advice! I’ve already booked tickets for the Tower of
London and the London Eye. I’m also considering a boat trip down the
Thames. (14)
M: Do it! It can be so interesting, particularly if you get a good tour guide. (14)
W: Okay! I mustn’t overspend, though. My air ticket costs enough! (15) Any cheap
or free activities you’d recommend
M: Plenty! I suggest Buckingham Palace, where you can watch the changing of the
guard. Plus, Borough Market is the place to go if you’re hungry. If you want a
taste of London’s street culture, then go to the Southbank Skatepark. It’s
near the Thames, so you can visit it right off the boat.
W:Good tip! (16)
M: Many of the big museums are free to visit. Personally, I love the National
Portrait Gallery. (17)
W:Why
M: Each piece there carries specific historical backgrounds, character stories,
and cultural meanings. It provides an important window and rich resources
for people to understand British history and culture. (17)
Text 10
Have you ever heard of Bai Fangli (18)(19)(20) Born in 1913, (18) he
worked as a pedicab driver in Tianjin for years. When he was 74, (18) after his
retirement, Bai traveled back to his hometown in Hebei Province. On his way, Bai
noticed many children working in the fields. Upon learning that they’d had to drop
out of school due to money problems, he made a huge decision. He went back to
work in the same year and made his first donation, (18)(19) determined to earn
money to pay for these poor children’s education. (19) He found a cheap place to
live near Tianjin Railway Station, ate simple food, and wore the same clothes every
year. In 1995, he opened a small store to make even more money for the children. Bai
worked tirelessly, finally retiring in 2001. By that point, he had donated 350,000 yuan!
