一、??教材分析
这一节课是选自人教版高中英语选修6的第四单元
第二课时,即阅读课。本单元的主题是“全球变暖”。这篇阅读源于一本杂志,因此文章排版结构比较特殊。首段概括全文要义,主体部分按照左右两栏编辑。文中插入的两个图表,清晰展示了一段时间内的气温变化和二氧化碳含量的上升。同时,引述了两位科学家的原话,使文章的信息表达更加清楚,更具真实性。全文围绕两个问题展开说明,一是导致全球变暖的原因;二是全球变暖带来的影响。因此,课堂设计也紧紧围绕这两个问题。二、学情分析
1、 高三学生,具备一定的阅读基础和阅读能力,且具备一定的分析问题和解决问题的能力。
2、 根据常识或通过地理、化学方面的课程,对全球变暖这个话题有一定的了解,但在温室气体和温室效应方面可能存在理解上的误区。
3、 相对其他主题来说,学生在环境、气候、能源等
方面的词汇是极为缺乏的,相应的英语知识也是比较少的,所以阅读这种类型的科普文章有一定的难度。

1、知识目标
学生能够掌握阅读中的重点单词和词语:come about, random, subscribe to, fuel, quantities of, tend, go up, data, result in, trend, catastrophe, flood, oppose, consequence, state, range, even if, keep on
学生能对全球变暖的起因和结果有一定了解,分清文章中的事实(fact)和观点(opinion)。

学生能够根据杂志类文章的写作特征,把握文章的脉络结构。
在解决不同问题时,学生能够使用不同的阅读技能,如略读,找读,细读等,并提升自己的阅读技能。

1、略读法(Skimming)
要求学生以最快的速度略读文章,找出文章信息点,理解文章结构。
2、找读法(Scanning)
给出题目,要求学生以有目标的方式阅读,找出问题答案,从而了解重点细节和图表信息等。
3、数据图引导法
展示两张近几百年来的气温变化图及空气中CO2含量变化图,使同学们认识到全球变暖这一现象,引导学生思考全球在变暖,这会带来什么影响?
